
On the evening of December 10th, the swimming finals at the 33rd SEA Games took place in a dramatic atmosphere. Fierce sprints and spectacular breakthroughs by the swimmers made the swimming competition incredibly exciting.

A large crowd filled the stands of the indoor swimming pool area at the Huamark National Sports Centre (Bangkok).

In the final evening, Vietnamese swimmers competed in many important events such as the men's 200m individual medley, men's 100m freestyle, women's 200m butterfly, and women's 50m breaststroke, promising fierce competition in the swimming pool.


In the men's 200m individual medley, Vietnam has two swimmers competing: Tran Hung Nguyen and Nguyen Quang Thuan, who are expected to bring home medals for the swimming team.
As for Tran Hung Nguyen, he quickly demonstrated his class by consistently taking the lead, facing almost no difficulty against his opponents.

Tran Hung Nguyen finished in first place with a time of 2 minutes 02 seconds 11.


Tran Hung Nguyen could not hide his joy after brilliantly overcoming his opponents, affirming his status as one of the top swimmers in the region.

This is his 10th SEA Games gold medal, and also the 3rd gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at this year's Games.

Not only Hung Nguyen, but Nguyen Quang Thuan also excelled, bringing home a bronze medal and adding another valuable achievement to the Vietnamese swimming team.

The men's 100m freestyle final features two top swimmers, Luong Jeremie Loic Nino and Tran Van Nguyen Quoc.


Tran Van Nguyen Quoc won the bronze medal with a time of 50.02 seconds, while swimmer Luong Jeremie Loic Nino finished in fourth place.

In the women's 200m butterfly event, swimmer Vo Thi My Tien won the silver medal with a time of 2 minutes 12.10 seconds. The gold medal in this event went to the host country's swimmer, Kwanmuang from Thailand, with a time of 2 minutes 11.78 seconds.

This is also the first silver medal in the butterfly swimming event that Vo Thi My Tien has won at the SEA Games, marking a memorable milestone in her career.

Swimming competitions at the 33rd SEA Games will continue in the coming days.
As of December 10th, the Vietnamese sports delegation had won a total of 4 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games, from the sports of canoeing, taekwondo, petanque, and swimming.
