Three people predicted that Vietnam U23 would definitely win, one predicted a draw, and one predicted a loss.
Accordingly, journalists and football experts from CNN Indonesia have given very surprising and somewhat conflicting predictions. Three predicted a convincing victory for Vietnam U23, with a score of 1-0 or 2-0. One predicted a 1-1 draw, and the other predicted a shocking 1-0 win for Malaysia U23.

How will the Vietnam U23 team strategize when facing the challenge posed by the Malaysia U23 team?

Before the final match of Group B in the men's football tournament at the 33rd SEA Games between Vietnam U23 and Malaysia U23, Indonesia U23 were the most anxious, as the result of this match would determine whether they would continue their journey to defend their gold medal.
Only if the U23 Vietnam vs. Malaysia match ends with a win or loss will they still have hope. If it's a draw, the Indonesian youth team will be eliminated early, before their final Group C match against U23 Myanmar (December 12th) becomes merely a formality.
"The U23 Malaysia team will be a tough challenge for the U23 Vietnam team at the SEA Games 33. This is because the U23 Vietnam team didn't seem to be in their best form in their victory against U23 Laos (2-1 on December 3). However, I believe in the class of the U23 Vietnam team; in set pieces or crucial moments, they will prove their ability. I predict U23 Vietnam will win 1-0," CNN Indonesia journalist Surya Sumirat predicted.
Similarly, journalist M Rizki H stated: "I think the match between Vietnam U23 and Malaysia U23 will be very tense. Vietnam U23 has a better squad and a very well-organized playing style under the guidance of coach Kim Sang-sik. They have two players who can change the course of the game in an instant: captain Khuất Văn Khang and striker Nguyễn Đình Bắc. I predict Vietnam U23 will win easily with a 2-0 margin."

Vietnam U23 will have to put in their best effort, as Malaysia U23 has proven to be a very unpredictable opponent.

Journalist Abdul Susila also predicted the same: "The strength of the Vietnam U23 team is undeniable. They have won the Southeast Asian U23 Championship and qualified for the Asian U23 Championship finals. In preparation for the SEA Games 33, they also had a training camp in China where they faced top opponents from across the continent."
Malaysia U23 is facing several problems. Their strained relationship with FIFA regarding the naturalization program is undermining their hopes. However, Malaysia U23 still has the potential to spring a surprise. But considering many factors, I believe Vietnam U23 will defeat Malaysia U23 with a score of 1-0 or 2-1."
Meanwhile, journalist Nova Arifianto argued that the performance of the Vietnam U23 team against Laos U23 was not truly convincing, and even with 8 days of rest, it wasn't necessarily a good thing for coach Kim Sang-sik's team. Malaysia U23 showed they managed well through many challenges to achieve a resounding 4-1 victory over Laos U23, thus providing a significant morale boost.
"Vietnam U23 may have the advantage in terms of possession and control, but if they continue to squander opportunities, they will pay the price. I predict Malaysia U23 will spring a surprise and find a 1-1 draw that is advantageous to them," journalist Nova Arifianto expressed.
Journalist Jun Mahares predicted that the Malaysian U23 team would beat the Vietnamese U23 team 1-0, explaining: "I think everyone underestimated the Malaysian U23 team. This perception actually became a driving force for Malaysia. They demonstrated this convincingly in their victory against the Laotian U23 team, at a time when no one believed in them."
It's not impossible, but they could certainly surprise Vietnam U23, a team that hasn't shown its best form yet. I predict Malaysia U23 will beat Vietnam U23 1-0."
