Conference to raise community awareness about gender equality.

On December 10th and 11th, the Women's Union of Cam Hiep commune, in coordination with the State Legal Aid Center of Khanh Hoa province, organized a conference to raise community awareness about gender equality for 60 participants, including influential figures, members of community communication teams, and members of the Women's Union from ethnic minority groups in Valy and Suoi Coc villages.

The speaker conveyed legal knowledge regarding gender equality.

At the conference, speakers imparted legal knowledge on gender equality; forms of abuse and violence against women and children; skills in recognizing, preventing, and handling dangerous situations; and the role of families, schools, and communities in protecting women and children. The aim was to raise awareness, promote compliance with the law, and change the behavior of ethnic minority communities regarding gender equality, gradually eliminating gender-based violence, gender stereotypes, and outdated gender concepts within these communities. Simultaneously, the conference aimed to enhance the status and role of ethnic minority women in the family and society, contributing to the development and progress of localities where ethnic minorities live.
