After the rain and flood, which was assessed as the most serious in many years, the entire political system of Lam Dong province urgently took action under the direction of the Prime Minister to overcome the consequences and stabilize people's lives. In particular, D'Ran commune was one of the areas that suffered the most damage.

Soldiers of Division 5 (Military Region 7) are making efforts to speed up the construction progress of houses for households in D'Ran commune ( Lam Dong province).
The entire commune had 756 damaged houses, of which 15 collapsed completely; many school buildings were affected and could no longer be used. More than 1,320 hectares of production land and vegetables were flooded, causing people to lose their crops. Total damage was estimated at more than 440 billion VND. The fear of losing property has not passed, the people here continue to face the worry of livelihood after the flood recedes.
60 officers and soldiers of Division 5 were assigned by the Military Region 7 Command to directly rebuild houses that were completely collapsed after the flood.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers and soldiers immediately began work in the spirit of the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly build and repair houses for the affected families while still ensuring safety and military discipline.

The force is organized into specialized teams including: digging foundations, erecting steel reinforcement, mixing and pouring concrete, and transporting materials. In the immediate future, the unit prioritizes supporting the two most severely damaged households. Despite the difficult construction conditions, the divided ground, and erratic weather, officers and soldiers of Division 5 still work tirelessly.
Directly commanding the support force, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Son Mong - Deputy Division Commander of Division 5, shared: "Helping people is an order from the heart. Therefore, for us, this is not only a task but also a sentiment, a tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers. Officers and soldiers always try their best so that people can soon have new homes and stabilize their lives."
In addition to construction work, the unit also mobilizes skilled welders and mechanics to carry out complex technical items, contributing to shortening construction progress.

However, the soldiers were present, working day and night. I am extremely grateful. Thanks to them, my family will soon have a decent roof over their heads again.”
