Journalists' associations of provinces in the midland and Red River Delta regions sign emulation agreement.

On December 11-12, in Bac Ninh, the Bac Ninh Provincial Journalists Association – the leading unit of the cluster – organized a conference to summarize the emulation and reward work of the Journalists Associations of the midland and Red River Delta provinces in 2025; and to implement tasks and sign the emulation agreement for 2026.

The conference was attended by representatives from the Vietnam Journalists Association , the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and leaders of the Journalists Associations of Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh provinces.

The year 2025 marks many important events for the country, especially the 80th anniversary of National Day, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism. This is also the year of administrative unit restructuring at the provincial level, directly impacting the organization of journalists' associations in many localities; personnel changes in these associations create difficulties in carrying out professional activities and in the work of emulation and reward.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Son, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, delivered a speech at the conference.

In this context, the journalists' associations in the cluster have strived to overcome difficulties, innovate their working methods, and launch many emulation movements linked to political tasks and the practical realities of local journalism. Emphasis has been placed on monitoring, inspecting, and summarizing the emulation movements; the evaluation and recommendation for awards have been objective and timely, creating a vibrant competitive spirit among media agencies and members.

The conference reviewed the results of work in 2025; agreed on the direction and key tasks for 2026; and signed the Emulation Agreement, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and determination to improve the quality of journalistic activities and journalists' associations in the Cluster.

The conference unanimously agreed to nominate and propose that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the Emulation Flag to the Bac Ninh Provincial Journalists Association and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association; award Certificates of Merit to the Phu Tho Provincial Journalists Association and the Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association; and hand over the Cluster Leader position for 2026 to the Ninh Binh Provincial Journalists Association.
