In 2026, Thai Nguyen province has been tasked with selecting 2,700 citizens for military service and 528 citizens for police service. This is an important task, requiring high concentration from all levels and sectors, especially in the context of the province implementing a two-tiered local government model.

Currently, all units in the province have completed the recruitment examination, and some units receiving recruits have begun the "3 meetings, 4 understandings" process. Over 1,000 young people across the province have volunteered to enlist, demonstrating the pioneering spirit and readiness of the youth, and also reflecting the effectiveness of the political system's propaganda and mobilization efforts.

In 2026, Thanh Cong commune was assigned the task of selecting and enlisting 44 citizens for military service and 9 citizens for police service. The Thanh Cong Commune Military Service Council proactively implemented the recruitment plan well in advance.

One of the requirements is to accurately identify the pool of young people of military age, and to effectively educate families and each young person about their duty to the Fatherland. From August, the Military Command of Thanh Cong commune went down to each hamlet to closely coordinate in identifying potential recruits. In September, they conducted preliminary medical examinations, and in mid-October, they carried out the final medical examinations for conscription.

Mr. Dang Van Hung, Head of Ao Seo hamlet, Thanh Cong commune, said: "We have accurate information on all citizens of military service age and provide it to the local military authorities for recruitment purposes."

When the conscription order is issued, the village leadership, along with various associations and organizations, will intensify propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage families to manage and educate their children to maintain good health, avoid violating the law, and help each young person clearly understand the honor of becoming a soldier to protect the Fatherland.

The Culture and Social Affairs Department of the commune is strengthening its communication efforts regarding the recruitment of citizens for military service. The focus is on the Military Service Law, raising awareness and responsibility among citizens, clarifying rights and obligations, and innovating communication methods to be more accessible to young people, combining family and local education.

The Youth Union, the Women's Union, the Farmers' Association, and the Veterans' Association are working together to promote and implement policies supporting the military. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thanh Cong commune, believes that with the responsible involvement of the entire political system, the commune's recruitment and conscription of citizens into the military in 2026 will successfully meet the assigned targets.

In 2026, Con Minh commune was assigned a quota of 24 citizens to be recruited into the armed forces, including 19 for military service and 5 for the police force. After preliminary selection, 72 citizens were deemed eligible for the official medical examination, of which 36 met the standards for fulfilling their duty to the Fatherland.

Given the difficulty in recruiting young people, as most of them are either pursuing vocational training or working as laborers, identifying potential candidates and conducting outreach plays a crucial role.

Comrade Ha Van Chien, Commander of the Military Command of Con Minh Commune, shared: "In reality, to do a good job of ideological work and combat negative, harmful, and toxic information in military recruitment, it must start from each unit and locality. Propaganda should precede other tasks, and a good understanding of this responsibility will give localities more advantages in successfully completing the 2026 military recruitment task."

With the motto "select only the right people," Thai Nguyen is implementing all stages of the recruitment process comprehensively and seriously, focusing on the vetting process, a crucial step that determines the quality of citizens joining the military.
