Seminar “The Patriotic and Revolutionary Traditions of the People of Hung Yen in Folk Literature”

On the afternoon of December 11th, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee organized a seminar titled "The Patriotic and Revolutionary Traditions of the People of Hung Yen in Folk Literature".

Attending the workshop were experts from the Institute of History, the Institute of Literature, and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences ; leaders from several provincial departments and agencies; and scientists, researchers, and cultural managers from within and outside the province.

Hung Yen is a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, located in the heart of the Red River Delta. Throughout all periods of the nation's history of building and defending the country, the people of Hung Yen have made many important contributions, which are richly reflected in the treasury of folk literature.

The workshop received 15 valuable papers from scientists and researchers from the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; and many other agencies and units in the province.

Many presentations were highly appreciated, focusing on clarifying issues such as: the concept and characteristics of folk literature; the role of folk literature in reflecting patriotism and resistance against foreign invaders; the patriotic spirit of the people of Hung Yen in the Bai Say uprising through folk documents; solutions for preserving and promoting the value of folk literature in educating revolutionary traditions for the province's youth...

Delegates noted that the research presented at the conference provided many new sources of information, contributing to a more objective, scientific, and comprehensive understanding of the patriotic and revolutionary traditions of the people of Hung Yen in folk literature. The conference results serve as an important basis for systematizing materials, enhancing the effectiveness of propaganda and education on traditions for the younger generation; and also provide scientific arguments for planning strategies to preserve and promote the value of folk literature and the cultural and heroic traditions of Hung Yen in the new era.
