On the morning of December 10, in Da Nang, the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association organized a workshop with the theme: "Converged newsroom management: Experience and solutions for press agencies in the current situation".
The workshop was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief; Heads/Deputy Heads of Departments; Editorial Secretaries and staff directly in charge of content production at press agencies in the Central region.

This event is part of a series of professional activities implemented across all three regions of Vietnam (North, Central, and South), following workshops held in Ninh Binh and Tay Ninh. By synthesizing practical experiences from various localities, the workshop aims to identify challenges in managing converged newsrooms and propose appropriate solutions for media organizations in the new context.

In the context of digital transformation and streamlining of administrative structures, many localities have merged newspapers and radio and television stations towards a multi-platform journalism model. This is an important step, helping to unify the management and create a foundation for building a modern press. However, operating a merged newsroom still presents many challenges in management, organizing multi-platform production, and developing a versatile team of reporters.

The workshop is a forum for press agency leaders to exchange experiences, share models and propose solutions to improve editorial management capacity and the quality of press activities.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing key topics including: experiences in building, organizing, and operating converged newsrooms domestically and internationally; models for briefings, coordinating article streams, mechanisms for editors-in-chief, and multi-platform content production; applications of technology and data in content management and audience analysis; experiences in human resource management, conflict resolution, motivation, and development of versatile journalists; and practical lessons from central and local press and broadcasting agencies.
