
Party Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh congratulated and highly appreciated the delegation's visit and work in Vietnam; affirmed that the visit will further contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two Journalists Associations, as well as between press agencies of Laos and Vietnam.
The President of the Vietnam Journalists Association assessed that in recent years, the press of the two countries has closely and regularly coordinated, especially in organizing training courses to improve professional skills for reporters and editors. In addition, the journalists' associations of the two countries also organized cultural exchange activities, actively exchanging information on the socio -economic situation and national development of Vietnam and Laos.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Savanhkhone Razmountry, President of the Lao Journalists Association, thanked the Vietnam Journalists Association for their warm welcome and informed about the situation of press activities and the organization of major and meaningful events in Laos in recent times. He also hoped that the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Lao Journalists Association would continue to cooperate and exchange experiences in the field of journalism; requested the Vietnam Journalists Association to send experts and experienced journalists to Laos to help and support the improvement of professional skills for Lao reporters and journalists; and at the same time apply scientific and technological achievements and artificial intelligence (AI) to press activities.
On December 8, the two sides opened an advanced training course and experience exchange with the theme “Skills in reporting on environmental issues” for Lao journalists. This is a close press cooperation activity, extensive professional exchange, strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and enhancing the role of the media in protecting the common environment.
Previously, in February 2025, the Vietnam Journalists Association sent a delegation of journalists to attend the Regional Journalists Forum in Laos. At the forum, reporters, journalists, experts, and managers in the media sector from countries in the ASEAN Journalists Confederation (CAJ) shared their experiences in producing news and articles from their agencies and editorial offices to improve quality and meet the increasing needs of society in the era of digital technology development.
