As of December 7th, 2025, Quang Ninh province had welcomed 55 international cruise ships. From now until the end of the year, the locality expects to welcome 11 more ships, bringing the total number of cruise ships docking at its ports to 66 – the highest level in many years.
Specifically, from December 9th to 13th, the Ha Long International Cruise Port (Bai Chay Ward) will welcome one international cruise ship each day. Notably, on December 12th, the Celebrity Solstice – one of the luxury cruise ships of Maltese nationality – will bring approximately 2,800 tourists to the Ha Long International Cruise Port.

Earlier, on November 14th, the Blue Dream Melody cruise ship from Beihai City (Guangxi, China) brought more than 1,500 tourists to Quang Ninh.
This is the first ship to sail from the North Sea to Quang Ninh in 2025, resuming the sea route that was restored in November 2024.
In 2025, it is expected that nine cruise ships from the North Sea will bring 15,000 to 20,000 Chinese tourists to Quang Ninh.
As of mid-November 2025, Quang Ninh had welcomed 21.28 million visitors, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year; tourism revenue was estimated at 57,000 billion VND, a 22.46% increase. The province has already achieved its target of welcoming over 21 million visitors in 2025 and is aiming for 58,000 billion VND in revenue for the whole year.
