Featuring world-renowned Armenian pianist Armen Babakhanian and talented Vietnamese pianist Luu Duc Anh, the program symbolizes the harmony and friendship between the two nations- expressed through the universal language of music.
A celebrated figure in the global classical music scene, Armen Babakhanian has long been admired for his powerful sound and artistic depth. His authenticity on stage has earned him recognition from audiences and critics alike, as well as high honors at prestigious competitions including Van Cliburn, Leeds, Gina Bachauer and Dublin. Babakhanian's artistry has resonated across major concert halls in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Israel, where he has performed with leading orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and Moscow Philharmonic. Beyond performing, he also contributed to global musical education as a professor at the Armenian National Academy of Music and a frequent juror at international competitions.
Sharing the stage with him is Vietnamese pianist Luu Duc Anh, one of Vietnam's most dynamic young artists. Known for his refined, versatile performance style and impactful artistic projects, he has become an inspiring figure in both domestic and international music communities. His musical journey spans leading institutions such as the Vietnam National Academy of Music , the Royal Conservatory of Liège in Belgium, and the Malmö Academy of Music in Sweden.
The pianist has also collaborated with numerous orchestras including the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, and many others, performing in various cultural destinations around the world. His presence in “Rezonans” adds a vibrant Vietnamese spirit that beautifully complements Babakhanian's Armenian depth.
Bringing these two distinguished pianists together, “Rezonans” guides audiences through a rich musical landscape, from the timeless elegance of Bach and Beethoven to the lyrical, distinctive colors of Vietnamese and Armenian compositions. Each piece serves as a meeting point where traditions intersect and artistic worlds resonate with one another.
One of the evening's highlights will be the duo piano performance of Armenian Rhapsody, a piece that perfectly captures the spirit of the concert: two artists, two cultures, and two musical traditions coming together on a single stage. This event celebrates not only the richness of classical music but also the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Armenia.
