Mr. La Van Vuong, one of the pioneers in Vinh Phu commune, has been cultivating over one acre of land for Dien pomelo since 2005. From the beginning, he chose organic farming methods, using rice husk ash to bury the roots and enhance the natural sweetness of the fruit. Mr. Vuong shared: “Actually, compared to other crops, Dien pomelo trees yield 3 or 4 times more profit. Although prices fluctuate, each of our trees produces an average of 100 to 150 fruits. With a selling price of about 15,000 VND per fruit, the economic efficiency is much higher than growing other crops.”
