Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Sacombank (HoSE: STB) has officially changed its name to Saigon Tai Loc Commercial Joint Stock Bank, with the Vietnamese abbreviation being Saigon Tai Loc Bank. The English name is Saigon Treasure Commercial Joint Stock Bank, and the English abbreviation is SACOMBANK.
Sacombank stated that the new name not only inherits the brand values but also encapsulates the development direction for the new phase.
In this context, "Saigon" represents the dynamic, pioneering, and integrated spirit – the birthplace of the Sacombank brand; "Talent" signifies strong financial capacity and professionalism in operations; and "Prosperity" means good fortune and abundance.
"The overall new name reflects our aspiration for prudent, efficient, and sustainable growth, ensuring maximum benefits for shareholders, partners, and customers," Sacombank stated.
The bank affirmed that the change of trade name does not affect business operations or the legitimate rights and interests of customers, partners, and shareholders. Previously, the name change plan was approved by Sacombank's General Shareholders Meeting on April 22nd.
In addition to changing its name, the bank also revamped its brand identity at the end of December 2025, just two days after appointing Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy as Acting General Director (now the Permanent Vice Chairman of Sacombank). The new logo features a blue background and gold lettering. The bank called this sixth logo change since its establishment a "strategic move".
Regarding the business plan, Sacombank's General Shareholders' Meeting approved a pre-tax profit target of VND 8,100 billion for 2026, a 6% increase compared to 2025.
The target for total assets in 2026 is a 10% increase, bringing the total asset size to over 1 trillion VND. Outstanding loans by the end of this year are expected to reach 699,400 billion VND (+12%) or according to the credit growth limit assigned by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV); total deposits are expected to reach 921,300 billion VND (+10%); and the on-balance sheet non-performing loan ratio is expected to decrease to below 5%.
