On the evening of December 11th, according to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), runway number 1 at Long Thanh Airport was lit up in preparation for the first test flight on December 19th.

Cleaning of the runway and taxiways was also carried out urgently in preparation for the first test flight.

Previously, on the evening of April 26, 2025, the runway lighting system at Long Thanh Airport was illuminated, successfully undergoing trial operation to light up the runway for calibration flights.

The lighting system uses 100% imported LED technology from Europe, meeting the highest technical standards in the international aviation field. In addition, Long Thanh Airport is equipped with an ILS/DME precision landing guidance system, helping to guide aircraft to approach and land safely, even in bad weather conditions.

These two systems work together seamlessly to ensure safe and precise take-off and landing in all weather conditions, enhancing the airport's operational capacity and stability.

The completion and operation of the modern lighting system is a significant technical milestone, affirming ACV's commitment to applying the most advanced technological solutions at Long Thanh Airport.
