The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was established on March 5, 1999, chaired by Ms. Truong My Hoa, former member of the Central Committee of the Party and former Vice President of Vietnam. For the past 26 years, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has brought joy and educational opportunities to thousands of ethnic minority children nationwide.
The "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club was established on August 1, 2014, with the goal of caring for the children of fishermen and the families of soldiers who are protecting our maritime sovereignty day and night.
Ms. Le Minh Ngoc, Deputy Head of the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club, shared about the club's activities supporting students in Ca Mau and across the country.
In Ca Mau province, over 1,600 students have received scholarships. Specifically for the 2025-2026 school year, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club will award 8,000 scholarships nationwide, including 245 scholarships for students in Ca Mau.
Mr. Dang Tri Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, praised the students who received scholarships for their perseverance in overcoming difficulties.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Tri Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, shared: "Scholarships are a source of encouragement that helps students strive harder. Many students, after receiving scholarships, have continued to try their best; some have graduated and started working, while others are pursuing higher education at universities, colleges, or other levels. Each student has their own circumstances and educational path, but they all share the same determination to overcome difficulties and rise above challenges."
Pham Tuan Tai , Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, presented flowers to express gratitude to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Le Minh Ngoc, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and Deputy Head of the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club, said that each scholarship carries with it a spirit of sharing for disadvantaged students, children of fishermen, and border guards who protect the border day and night. In addition, the fund maintains many in-depth programs such as: "Nurturing Future Generations," "Giving Wings to Dreams," and "Supporting Students to Open the Path to the Future."
"The greatest happiness for us is seeing the children strive to improve themselves and become good citizens," shared Ms. Le Minh Ngoc.
Provincial Youth Union Secretary Pham Tuan Tai and Ms. Le Minh Ngoc presented Vu A Dinh scholarships to students.
At the ceremony, the program awarded 45 Vu A Dinh scholarships, the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club awarded 100 scholarships to students in coastal and island areas, and 100 scholarships to children of officers and professional soldiers of the Ca Mau Border Guard, each scholarship worth 1 million VND.
This is practical encouragement, helping students continue to nurture their dreams, inspiring them to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, and reducing the risk of dropping out due to economic hardship.
