New tuition fee rates at educational institutions in Ca Mau

GD&TĐ - Ca Mau province will apply new tuition fees for public preschool, primary, and continuing education institutions that are not yet self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses, effective from January 1, 2026.

The Ca Mau Provincial People's Council has just passed a Resolution stipulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education; and tuition fee support for children and students in private and non-public schools in Ca Mau province from the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, tuition fees from the 2025-2026 school year onwards for public preschool, primary, and continuing education institutions that are not self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses, based on in-person learning, will be calculated as follows:

For preschool and primary school levels with one session per day, the tuition fee is 300,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 200,000 VND/student/month in rural areas. For two sessions per day, the fee is 400,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 300,000 VND/student/month in rural areas.

For preschool education with two sessions per day in the ward area, the tuition fee is 400,000 VND per student per month.

For lower secondary education with one session per day, the tuition fee is 350,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 250,000 VND/student/month in rural areas; for two sessions per day, the fee is 450,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 350,000 VND/student/month in rural areas.

For high school level, if students attend one session per day, the tuition fee is 380,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 280,000 VND/student/month in rural areas; if they attend two sessions per day, the fee is 480,000 VND/student/month in urban areas and 380,000 VND/student/month in rural areas.

For secondary and high school students enrolled in the Continuing Education program, the tuition fee in urban areas is 350,000 VND/student/month; in rural areas, it is 250,000 VND/student/month.

For primary school students attending one session per day in rural areas, the tuition fee is 200,000 VND per student per month.

Tuition fees for online learning are 70% of the standard tuition fees for the aforementioned educational levels and are rounded to the nearest thousand dong. The total number of months for which tuition is calculated does not exceed 9 months per academic year.

The resolution also stipulates that children, students, and learners enrolled in general education programs at private and non-private educational institutions will receive tuition fee support equivalent to the tuition fees of public general education institutions of the same level in the area. The resolution takes effect from January 1, 2026.
