This year, the Academy has 10 candidates appointed to the position of Associate Professor. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy – Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine – emphasized that the recognition and appointment of professors and associate professors is an important policy aimed at building a team of leading scientific staff according to national standards and gradually approaching regional and international standards.
Over the years, the Academy has appointed 1 professor and 37 associate professors, contributing to improving the quality of training, scientific research, and technology transfer. In the 2025 review, the State Council of Professors recognized 71 professors and 829 associate professors as meeting the standards for their titles; of which, the Academy has 4 educators who met the standards from the grassroots council.
At the ceremony, in addition to the four associate professors selected by the Academy's council, there were also five associate professors appointed from other title councils and one associate professor reappointed after a five-year cycle.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy expressed his hope that the newly appointed associate professors would continue to leverage their experience and make even stronger contributions to training, scientific research, and international publications, thereby affirming the academic prestige of the Academy.
Among the newly appointed associate professors, Mr. Tran Phuong Dong – Deputy Director of the Central Acupuncture Hospital – expressed his emotion upon receiving the appointment decision. For him, this is an important milestone in his academic career and a great responsibility towards the development of Vietnamese medicine.
The newly appointed associate professor pledged to continue research integrating traditional and modern medicine based on evidence; innovate teaching; support young professionals and increase international publications; and preserve the essence of traditional medicine in a modern, standardized way.

This year's appointments also recognize many accomplished individuals. The Director of Friendship Hospital, Nguyen The Anh, is the newly appointed Associate Professor in Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine, with outstanding research on infectious diseases, cardiovascular emergencies, intensive care, and kidney and urinary tract diseases. He has published 59 scientific articles, including 5 prestigious international publications.
Associate Professor Dr. The Anh is also a dedicated educator, beloved by his students. He is a visiting lecturer at two training institutions, including 9 years of teaching at the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.
