Recruitment demand surges at the end of the year.
According to Ms. Tran Le Thanh Truc, Head of the Employment and Labor Safety Department (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Internal Affairs), the period leading up to the Lunar New Year is when businesses intensify recruitment, especially in the following sectors: Processing and manufacturing industries (textiles, footwear, etc.); Services - trade - tourism - logistics (e-commerce, warehousing, delivery, security, restaurants, hotels, etc.); Information technology - finance - business administration, support services (accounting - auditing); along with many general and seasonal labor positions.

Ms. Truc also stated that the Department of Internal Affairs has issued a plan to strengthen supervision of salary and Tet bonus payments to ensure the rights of workers. The survey will be conducted indirectly through questionnaires and directly at businesses.
Approximately 3,000 product varieties participated in the OCOP Week.
Mr. Pham Quang Hoi, Director of the Center for Consulting and Support for Agricultural Economic Transformation (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade), informed that the OCOP product week, featuring regional specialties and connecting supply and demand in 2025, will take place from December 19 to 21 in the Bai Sau area, Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was attended by representatives from 24 out of 34 provinces and cities, showcasing approximately 3,000 product categories, including: OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, gold brand products, processed and export products, market-stabilizing products, high-tech agricultural products, regional specialties, and responsible Green Tick products…
The week-long event was organized to promote supply-demand connectivity, stimulate consumer spending, and support the development of the domestic market, contributing to achieving the target of over 18% growth in total retail sales by 2025.
304 delegates attended the First Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Representatives.
Also at the press conference, Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, announced that the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, for the term 2025-2030, will take place at the Ho Chi Minh City Hall on December 20 and 21 with the theme "Unity, Humanity, Breakthrough, Development".

The congress was attended by 304 official delegates and 293 invited guests. Prior to the congress, the Association carried out numerous propaganda and welfare activities: producing documentary films and electronic commemorative books; awarding scholarships, health insurance cards, and livelihood support; providing medical examinations and treatment; caring for the community during Tet (Lunar New Year); and implementing 169 "City of a Thousand Colors of Flowers" projects with a total budget of over 2 billion VND.
