The first two days of competition at the 33rd SEA Games for the Vietnamese sports delegation were marked by the strong presence of martial arts and Olympic sports – swimming, athletics, rowing, and gymnastics – creating a favorable psychological momentum for the following days of competition.

Bui Thi Nguyen and Huynh Thi My Tien take to the track and field event.
The third day of competition (December 12th) was packed with a schedule and many exciting matches, promising breakthroughs in each sport and on the overall medal table. With key athletes such as Nguyen Huy Hoang and Tran Hung Nguyen (swimming), Dinh Phuong Thanh (gymnastics), Huynh Thi My Tien (athletics), Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting), and Truong Thi Kim Tuyen and Bac Thi Khiem (taekwondo) competing simultaneously, the Vietnamese sports delegation has reason to hope for another explosive day.

Dinh Phuong Thanh is a promising prospect in gymnastics.
In swimming, the focus is on Nguyen Huy Hoang in the men's 1500m freestyle and the duo Hung Nguyen - Quang Thuan in the 400m individual medley, along with the women's team of My Tien and Kha Nhi competing in the 100m and 400m freestyle events, aiming for medal chances. Meanwhile, athletics awaits surprises in the women's 100m hurdles with My Tien and Bui Thi Nguyen, the men's high jump with Vu Duc Anh, and the women's 400m with Nguyen Thi Ngoc and Hoang Thi Minh Hanh…

Women's volleyball team competes for first place in the group.
Martial arts continue to be a strong point, with judo, ju-jitsu, and karate having many finals, in which athletes like Dao Hong Son, Thanh Thuy, Dang Dinh Tung, and Vietnamese kumite aim for gold. Gymnastics places its hopes on Dinh Phuong Thanh and Tran Doan Quynh Nam in the horizontal bar, parallel bars, and vault events.
In team sports, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is hoping for a chance to top the group and secure a place in the semi-finals; sepak takraw is entering a crucial match, opening up opportunities to advance further, as is women's futsal. Sports such as shooting, canoeing, rowing, golf, climbing, and ice skating also offer hopes of competing for medals.
