
A golden day for Vietnamese sports , as they won 11 more gold medals – including 2 that were not included in the SEA Games 33 medal standings.
After the Karate golden girls opened the show, events like athletics and swimming conquered spectacular gold medals – especially the breakthrough performance in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay.

Vietnam's mark was also evident in MMA – a sport not yet officially included in the SEA Games. Fighters Quang Van Minh and Tran Ngoc Luong dominated their opponents to win the gold medal.

Swimming – Gold Medal
The men's 4x200m freestyle relay team finished first with a time of 7 minutes 18 seconds 67. This is Vietnam's 11th gold medal of the day.
Nguyen Viet Tuong started and was at a slight disadvantage but still remained in the top 3. Nguyen Huy Hoang, swimming second, significantly narrowed the gap in his 200m race.
The youthful energy of Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, who was initially positioned as the third swimmer, helped the team make a spectacular surge from third to first in the 200m race. Tran Hung Nguyen, swimming last, secured the advantage and sprinted to the finish line.
Swimming – Bronze Medal
Vo Thi My Tien continued to impress by finishing third and winning a bronze medal in the women's 200m individual medley, with a time of 2 minutes 16 seconds 66.
The winner was a Singaporean athlete, who also broke Anh Vien's SEA Games record.
Swimming - Gold Medal
Pham Thanh Bao brilliantly won the gold medal for Vietnam in the men's 100m breaststroke event with a time of 1'01''43.
Athletics - History of the SEA Games
Puripol Boonson of Thailand won the gold medal in the men's 100m event.
At the same time, he became the first athlete in SEA Games history to win in under 10 seconds - specifically 9.99 seconds.
Swim
Jérémie Loic Nino finished 5th in the men's 50m freestyle final.
Nguyen Kha Nhi finished 7th in the women's 200m freestyle final.
Athletics – Bronze Medal
Le Thi Cam Dung won the bronze medal in the women's discus throw.
Athletics – a double win of gold and silver medals.
Bui Thi Ngan and Nguyen Khanh Linh won the gold and silver medals respectively in the women's 1,500m event.

Luong Duc Phuoc finished third, winning the bronze medal in the men's 1,500m event.

Ho Trong Manh Hung brought home the gold medal in the men's triple jump for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
After 6 jumps, his best performance was 16.33 meters.
Women's football
The Vietnamese women's team impressively defeated Myanmar 2-0, securing their place in the semi-finals.

Men's football
Vietnam U22 easily defeated Malaysia U22 2-0, securing a place in the semi-finals as group B winners.

Gymnastics - Silver Medal
Unfortunately for Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu in the vault event, she initially received the highest score. However, the Philippines team later appealed to the referees. The referees changed the result, with the gold medal going to the Philippines and Quynh Nhu receiving the silver.

Judo - Silver Medal
Team members Mai Thi Bich Tram and Vu Hoang Khanh Ngoc lost in the Ju No Kata final and received the silver medal.
Gymnastics - Gold Medal
The Vietnamese team added another gold medal to their tally, with Nguyen Van Khanh Phong winning the rings event with 13.767 points.

Canoeing
Adding another silver and bronze medal . The Vietnamese team won a silver medal in the mixed doubles 200m kayak event with Vu Duy Thanh and Do Thi Thanh Thao achieving a time of 37.397 seconds, behind the Indonesian pair.
In the men's doubles 200m kayak event, Huynh Cao Minh and Nguyen Minh Tuan won the bronze medal with a time of 34.486 seconds, behind host country Thailand and Indonesia.
Ju-jitsu – HCV
Dang Dinh Tung secured a dominant victory over his Philippine opponent in the final of the Ne-waza 69 kg category, bringing home the gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Gymnastics - Gold Medal
In the pommel horse final, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien performed well, scoring 14.367 points, ranking first and winning the gold medal for Vietnamese sports.

MMA – Gold Medal
Tran Ngoc Luong defeated his Indonesian opponent in the final of the men's modern martial arts event, 60 kg category.
This is the second gold medal for Vietnamese MMA at the 33rd SEA Games.

Taekwondo – Gold Medal
Nguyen Hong Trong brought home the gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation with a 2-1 victory over his Indonesian opponent in the men's 48 kg category.
MMA - Gold Medal
Quang Van Minh dominated the final match, overwhelmingly defeating his Malaysian opponent in the men's modern 65 kg category.
With this victory, Minh received a cash prize of 200 million VND from the Vietnam MMA Federation.
Judo
The pair Mai Thi Bich Tram/Vu Hoang Khanh Ngoc defeated the host country's pair from Thailand in the Ju No Kata event to advance to the final.
Karate – Gold Medal
In the women's team kata final, the Vietnamese martial artists Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, and Hoang Thi Thu Uyen (with Bui Ngoc Nhi as the remaining member) brilliantly defeated host Thailand to successfully defend their SAE Games gold medal with the Tomari Bassai routine.
This is Vietnam's first gold medal in karate at the 33rd SEA Games, and the first gold medal for Vietnamese sports on December 11th.

Taekwondo
Nguyen Hong Trong defeated his Philippine opponent to advance to the final of the men's under 54kg weight category.
MMB - HCB
Duong Thi Thanh Binh brought home the first medal of the day for the Vietnamese sports delegation, winning the silver medal in the women's 54kg weight class after losing to her Indonesian opponent. However, the MMA medal does not count towards the overall medal tally.


Volleyball
The Vietnamese women's team had little difficulty securing a 3-0 victory against the Malaysian women's team.

Badminton
Thùy Linh lost the third set to her Indonesian opponent, ending her journey in the round of 16 with a final score of 1-2.
Badminton
Nguyen Thuy Linh saved three set points. However, her declining physical condition led to the Vietnamese star losing 20-22.
The score after two sets is 1-1.
MMA
Doctors are performing recovery stretching exercises for fighter Tran Ngoc Luong, one of Vietnam's prominent MMA fighters, who will compete in the 60kg final against an Indonesian opponent at 2:30 PM; and Quang Van Minh, who will face a Malaysian opponent in the 65kg final at 1:00 PM.


Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat continued to be present at the MMC Hall stands to cheer on the Vietnamese MMA fighters.

Nguyen Thuy Linh had a spectacular scoring performance, winning 9 consecutive matches to turn the tables and defeat her Indonesian opponent in set 1 with a score of 21-16.
Taekwondo
Nguyen Hong Trong qualified for the semi-finals in the men's under 54kg category.

Karate
The Vietnamese women's Kata team defeated their Indonesian opponents to advance to the final at 2 PM, where they will compete for the gold medal against host nation Thailand.
The men's kata team lost to Indonesia and will compete for the bronze medal.


Badminton
Vu Thi Trang lost to the home athlete from Thailand 0-2 in the women's singles qualifying round.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Ahead of the three crucial finals this afternoon, December 11th, for the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team, the Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the SEA Games 33, Nguyen Hong Minh, visited and encouraged the entire team.


Swimming
Men's 50-meter freestyle - Jérémie Loic Nino has completed the qualifying round and advanced to the final of the men's 50-meter freestyle, which will be held this afternoon.
Women's 200-meter freestyle - Nguyen Kha Nhi made it to the top 8 in the second qualifying round of the women's 200-meter freestyle event. She will compete in the final for a medal this afternoon.
100-meter breaststroke – Pham Thanh Bao advanced through the second qualifying round, finishing in 3rd place (1'03''16). He will compete for the gold medal in the afternoon.
In the women's 200-meter individual medley, Vo Thi My Tien finished 8th in the second qualifying round, just enough to qualify for the final to compete for a medal.


Mountain bikes
Chảo Ông Lủ Phim and Bùi Văn Nhất of Vietnam have completed the mountain bike qualifying round. Văn Nhất unfortunately encountered a problem during the competition.

The second day of competition at the 33rd SEA Games has officially begun.
Trinh Truong Vinh, Luong Jérémie Loic Nino, Nguyen Kha Nhi, Pham Thanh Bao, Vo Thi My Tien, and Nguyen Ngoc Tuyet Han participated in the qualifying rounds of the swimming events.
In Ju-jitsu, a number of Vietnamese athletes competed in the finals, including: Dang Dinh Tung; Pham Tri Dung, Nguyen Tien Trien; Pham Le Hoang Linh, Pham Thi Thu Ha, Tran Hong An, Tran Huu Tuan/Nguyen Thanh Tra; Sai Cong Nguyen/Nguyen Anh Tung, Phung Thi Hong Ngoc/Nguyen Ngoc Bich.
Additionally, at 9:00 AM, Vietnamese athletes will compete in the qualifying rounds for Kayak and Canoe racing, Chess, and Mountain biking.
