Commenting on the match, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "When I entered the stadium and saw such a large crowd of Myanmar fans, I was a little surprised. But the Vietnamese women's team didn't feel pressured; on the contrary, they were excited. The Vietnamese players overcame all obstacles to earn a well-deserved victory."

"After the loss to the Philippines, we prepared our lineup and trained thoroughly. For this match, I instructed the players to play offensively to score goals. Playing defensively would have been very difficult. I think this is the right change in playing style," emphasized coach Mai Duc Chung.

Coach Mai Duc Chung also revealed that the Vietnamese women's team played an aggressive attacking game with suitable players, including Ngan Thi Van Su. He said: "The two header goals, one by Van Su and one by Bich Thuy, were situations that had been practiced a lot. Van Su, despite her limited height, is agile and has good positioning, and is also decisive. As for Tran Thi Duyen, she has good defensive qualities but also attacked very well today, and is playing more and more maturely."
