Nam Dinh hosted Eastern AA with the task of securing a resounding victory to keep their hopes of advancing alive. The team from Nam Dinh started fiercely and took only 3 minutes to open the scoring when Caio Cesar successfully scored a rebound after Pham Ba's shot was blocked.

A minute later, Pham Ba increased the score to 2-0 with a beautiful curling shot, before Ly Cong Hoang Anh broke the offside trap to score the third goal in the 10th minute.

The dominance was further amplified when Romulo scored a brace in the 17th and 18th minutes, making the score 5-0. Towards the end of the first half, Percy Tau assisted Brenner's finish to extend the lead to 6-0.

After the break, Nam Dinh didn't slow down. Brenner completed his brace with a penalty in the 59th minute and a header in the 63rd minute, before Eastern AA scored an own goal in the 90+1 minute, sealing a spectacular 9-0 victory.

However, the joy was short-lived. Despite having the same points and goal difference as Ratchaburi, Nam Dinh was eliminated because they scored one less goal than their opponent.

Thien Truong experienced a night of contrasting emotions: exhilaration throughout the 90 minutes, but ending with profound regret.
