The ancient Pavie stone road has an average width of about 3 meters and a length of over 20 kilometers, crossing the Nhiu Co San mountain area, connecting Den Sang commune in Lao Cai province and Sin Suoi Ho commune in Lai Chau province. This road was built by the French in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and still retains relatively intact traces of stone architecture, along with majestic natural landscapes, diverse forest ecosystems, and the distinctive cultural space of the ethnic minority communities.

The delegation surveying the ancient Pavie stone road took a commemorative photo at the site.
Through the survey activities, delegates directly assessed the current state of the route, its tourism potential, its ability to connect with the landscape, as well as factors that need attention in the conservation and promotion of heritage values.
Later that same day, the two provinces held a conference to exchange and evaluate the survey results and agree on some future directions. These included emphasizing the coordinated preservation of the ancient Pavie stone road in conjunction with sustainable tourism development, ensuring a balance between preserving historical and cultural values, protecting the ecological environment, and effectively exploiting tourism potential.

Mr. Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province and Mr. Tran Son Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province chaired the conference.
At the conference, delegates participated in discussions and contributed many practical ideas, focusing on the conservation and promotion of the value of the ancient Pavie stone road in conjunction with the development of adventure sports tourism products. The opinions addressed the survey and assessment of the road's current condition; the orientation for developing experiential tourism products suitable to the natural conditions; ensuring the safety of tourists; and simultaneously protecting the landscape, ecological environment, and preserving the cultural identity of the local community.

Delegates participated in discussions and contributed ideas at the conference on the exploitation and development of tourism products along the ancient Pavie stone road.
According to the general direction, in the coming period, specialized agencies, in coordination with travel businesses, will research and develop... Suitable experiential tourism tours and routes will gradually form attractive destinations with rich unique characteristics, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and improving the lives of people, especially the communities in Den Sang commune (Lao Cai province) and Sin Suoi Ho commune (Lai Chau province).
The coordinated survey and development plan for the ancient Pavie stone road is an important step in linking tourism development between the two provinces, while also affirming the determination to preserve and promote the value of cultural and historical heritage, associated with sustainable development in the Northwest region.
