On the evening of December 13th, the opening ceremony of Techfest Vietnam 2025 officially took place in the Hoan Kiem Lake area, marking the beginning of the biggest series of events of the year for the innovative startup ecosystem.
This year's Techfest Vietnam has the theme "Innovative Entrepreneurship for All - A New Driving Force for Growth". The event will take place from December 12th to 24th.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders from the Government, the Ministry of Science and Technology , the Hanoi People's Committee, and representatives from various ministries, localities, international organizations, embassies, technology corporations, investment funds, and the startup community both domestically and internationally.

"This event will be a milestone marking the beginning of the National Strategy for Innovative Entrepreneurship," a representative of the organizing committee said, emphasizing the spirit of promoting nationwide innovative entrepreneurship, leveraging the power of science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation for breakthrough development, in line with the spirit of Resolution 57.
A special feature of this year's Techfest is that the opening ceremony and other events will be held in an open space in the heart of the capital, connected to technology demonstration and experience zones. This is expected to be an opportunity to bring scientific and technological achievements and innovations closer to the people.
The opening ceremony will be structured as a continuous narrative, combining formal rituals with symbolic artistic performances. Through the performances and scenes, a message about promoting innovative entrepreneurship will be conveyed to the audience.
One of the highlights of Techfest, showcased at the opening ceremony, will be an artistic performance centered around the "one-person business" model – a new wave of startups based on digital platforms and artificial intelligence, where a single person, with the support of AI, can build their own career.
Within the framework of the opening ceremony, new policies, directions, tasks, and solutions from the Government, ministries, and localities regarding entrepreneurship will be announced. In addition, the event will also feature programs honoring exemplary localities in promoting innovative entrepreneurship, recognizing the increasingly important role of local authorities in improving institutions, building infrastructure, and supporting the ecosystem.

Techfest Vietnam 2025 is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee. This is the first year the event has shifted from a hall format to an open space, allowing people to access technology in a direct and engaging way.
In addition to the opening ceremony, the event also includes technology experience spaces, workshops, seminars, the final round of the startup talent competition, and a policy forum connecting international investment. This year's event is expected to attract more than 60,000 participants, both in person and online, from corporations, startups, investment funds, support organizations, technology incubators, research institutes, universities, as well as representatives of prominent businesses and corporations, scientists, women, youth, senior citizens starting businesses, and delegates from the domestic and international innovation and startup ecosystems, including: Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe.
