In Mo Duc commune, implementing the National Target Program on Information Poverty Reduction, the locality has promoted many solutions to support livelihoods and increase people's income. In particular, strengthening information access and utilizing social media in communication work has created significant changes in the lives of the people.

Housing and livelihood support helps the poor develop production.
Villages in the commune have established community Zalo groups, widely implemented by mass organizations, helping to promptly update information on production support, preferential credit, agricultural techniques, etc., serving poverty reduction efforts. Through this, people interact regularly, ask and answer questions directly, much more conveniently than before.
Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Yen, Head of the Farmers' Association in Phuoc Xa village, Mo Duc commune, shared: "Since its establishment, the Zalo community channel has become an important support and connection tool. Not only does it help people access policies more easily, but Zalo groups also create an environment for sharing production experiences and spreading effective poverty alleviation models."

According to Mr. Vo Hoai Linh, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Mo Duc commune, various media channels are used. News articles, reports, features, and columns are created to promptly reflect poverty reduction policies, exemplary individuals and good deeds, poverty alleviation models, sustainable economic development, and to spread the spirit of striving for improvement within the community.
Thanks to this flexible approach, many households have been able to access the policy in a timely manner. Currently, the entire commune has 170 poor households (32 in the former Mo Duc town; 60 in the former Duc Hoa; 40 in the former Duc Phu; and 38 in the former Duc Tan), accounting for 1.83%; and 79 near-poor households (18 in the former Mo Duc town; 27 in the former Duc Hoa; 14 in the former Duc Phu; and 20 in the former Duc Tan), accounting for 0.85%.
By the end of 2025, the average per capita income will be 56 million VND/person/year.

The above experience shows that poverty reduction is not just about providing capital, seedlings, and livestock, but first and foremost, it must ensure that people have access to complete, accurate, and timely information.
Promoting communication through various forms, especially the application of digital platforms, has helped people shorten the time it takes to receive policies, created an environment for exchanging experiences among households, and improved people's production capacity and market access skills.
According to Pham Ngoc Tu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Mo Duc commune, through communication activities, the preferential policies of the Party and State have been implemented promptly and fully to the poor, effectively and in accordance with regulations. Families have grasped information and successful models in poverty reduction, applying them effectively, especially changing their perceptions and understanding the meaning and purpose of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
