According to initial information, on the afternoon of the same day, 15 people were taken to Phuc Hung Private General Hospital for emergency treatment with symptoms of fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, high fever, and headache. These people stated that they had eaten bread at HV bakery branches in Cam Thanh ward, Nghia Lo district. Doctors there diagnosed them with suspected food poisoning.
Of the 15 patients, 8 have been discharged, and 7 are currently being monitored and treated in the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics departments. Their health is temporarily stable, with no signs of serious complications.
According to the head of the Quang Ngai Department of Health , immediately after receiving the information, the unit requested relevant agencies to collect samples of bread and other ingredients to determine the cause of the food poisoning. At the same time, they organized an inspection team at the HV bread shop and requested a temporary suspension of business pending a specific conclusion.
