
A 'sinkhole' caused by unexpected road subsidence has appeared on National Highway 49 in Binh Dien commune, Hue City.
On December 13th, a sinkhole appeared on National Highway 49, specifically the section passing through Tan Tho village, Binh Dien commune (Hue City), due to road subsidence, posing a potential traffic safety hazard.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Dien commune, the sinkhole was discovered by residents at noon on the same day at Km32+200.
This sinkhole, approximately 40cm wide, is located right next to the roadside, posing a potential traffic hazard for motorcyclists and car drivers.

Immediately after receiving the information, the local authorities coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police) to place warning signs and reroute traffic to ensure the safety of people and vehicles passing through.
The People's Committee of Binh Dien commune advises residents and vehicles traveling through this area to reduce speed, observe carefully, and comply with the instructions of the authorities.
Authorities are temporarily addressing the subsidence site and have deployed personnel to direct traffic and prevent accidents.
