On the afternoon of December 15th, the Hue City Department of Health held a handover ceremony for health stations belonging to the Health Centers to the People's Committees of the communes and wards for management.
Previously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Nguyen Khac Toan, signed a decision to transfer 40 health stations in the city to the management of the People's Committees of communes and wards from December 16, 2025.

The conference was attended by representatives from the People's Committees of 40 communes and wards in Hue City.
According to the Hue City Department of Health, the Politburo has issued Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health, placing increasingly higher demands on grassroots healthcare. The resolution emphasizes that health stations must be comprehensively strengthened in terms of organization, personnel, facilities, and professional capacity, aiming towards a model of continuous, lifelong healthcare.
This shows that the role of commune and ward health stations in the new era is extremely important, not only as places for initial medical examination and treatment but also as centers for community health management, proactively preventing epidemics, and accompanying people in comprehensive health care. Strong health stations lead to strong grassroots healthcare, and strong grassroots healthcare leads to a stable healthcare system, especially in the context of an aging population, increasing non-communicable diseases, and the risk of new epidemics emerging.
"Today's handover is not just an administrative procedure, but also a fundamental transformation of the management model, laying the foundation for the innovation of primary healthcare operations in a new phase, a phase where the quality of healthcare services, satisfaction, and trust of the people are paramount," shared Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kiem Hao, Director of the Hue City Department of Health.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kiem Hao, Director of the Hue City Department of Health, delivered a speech at the conference.
According to the Director of the Hue City Department of Health, throughout the past period, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the commune and ward health stations have always been at the forefront, persistently keeping the "lifeline" of grassroots healthcare running smoothly.
From routine tasks such as primary healthcare, expanded immunization, management of non-communicable diseases, and maternal and child health care, to urgent needs like epidemic prevention and control, the medical staff of the Health Station are always present in the most difficult areas, at the times when the people need them most.
Because primary healthcare always plays the role of "gatekeeper," acting as the first line of defense for community health, and is the force that knows every household, every epidemiological vulnerability, and every smallest risk that could affect the health of local people.
"These silent contributions, from initial emergency night shifts to field trips, vaccination sessions, and hurried meals and sleep during the pandemic, have created the most authentic picture of the spirit of sacrifice, responsibility, and dedication of grassroots healthcare workers," said Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kiem Hao.
According to the Department of Health leadership, after the handover is completed, the Department of Health and the Health Centers will continue to play a professional management role, ensuring guidance, supervision, and inspection of technical and professional expertise in the field. At the same time, they will closely coordinate with local authorities in training and developing human resources, implementing health programs, and investing in and upgrading facilities and equipment according to the city's roadmap.
"With the decisive involvement of the People's Committees of communes and wards, along with the responsibility and dedication of the medical staff, the health station system throughout the city will experience new and stronger development, better meeting the healthcare needs of the people," a leader of the Department of Health shared.
