Specifically, the Industry 2.0 technical standard is designed to create a significant shift in Vietnam's payment infrastructure by standardizing connection processes, enhancing security mechanisms, and optimizing transaction processing speed. Adopting this new standard not only improves the end-user experience but also opens up opportunities for the development of next-generation payment services, aligning with the digitalization trends in the region and the world .
VietQR Pay acts as a QR payment solution conforming to Napas's standard, allowing users to make payments at points of sale and pay bills by scanning QR codes. All transactions are processed on the Napas switching system 24/7, ensuring instant speed, minimizing fraud risks, and enhancing transparency in payments.
Simultaneously, VietQR Global expands cross-border QR payment capabilities through interoperability between Napas and international payment networks. This solution supports Vietnamese users and international tourists in making quick and convenient payments, aligning with global trade, tourism, and spending needs, while contributing to increased secure electronic transactions for the economy .
Notably, SHB completed and launched the new features in just 3 months, significantly faster than the typical deployment time for large-scale payment infrastructure projects in the market. This result demonstrates flexible implementation capabilities, effective technical coordination with partners, and a determination to bring innovative initiatives into practical operation in the shortest possible time. Through this, SHB not only enhances customer experience but also makes a positive contribution to expanding the national payment ecosystem in line with the digitalization trend.
