Awards were presented to the winning projects in the Ideas category (Community Ideas and Sustainable Development Ideas).
The Community Idea Award was presented to the Gene Connect Journey - Rediscovering the Names of Fallen Soldiers project by GeneStory Joint Stock Company. Professor Vu Ha Van - Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GeneStory, represented the project in receiving the award.
Vietnam has approximately 1.2 million fallen soldiers, of which 500,000 remains are unidentified. Previously, finding relatives relied primarily on memories or individual records. With the Fallen Soldiers and Relatives Gene Bank, DNA data from relatives and remains are compared, opening up a scientific, accurate, and humane approach. Each DNA sample is biological data that reconstructs names and heals the memories of war.
The Sustainable Development Idea Award was presented to the Nam Duoc - Sustainable Development of Clean Medicinal Herbs project of Nam Duoc Joint Stock Company. Mr. Le Van San - General Director of Nam Duoc Joint Stock Company, represented the project in receiving the award.
For 21 years dedicated to serving public health, Nam Duoc Joint Stock Company has been striving to address the paradox of the traditional medicine industry: abundant medicinal resources, yet 80% still have to be imported with quality that is difficult to control. The project aims to secure a self-sufficient supply of safe and high-quality raw materials while also creating a sustainable development ecosystem and providing stable livelihoods for hundreds of farming households.

Hope School
The School of Hope project was established by FPT Group. The project not only provided timely support to orphaned children after Covid-19 to overcome difficult times, but also created a comprehensive, free learning and nurturing environment from grades 1 to 12, as well as providing opportunities for them to continue their education at university, college, and vocational levels within the FPT training system.
School Lighting Program
The "Light of Education" program is a journey of sustained service initiated by the Hope Foundation in 2018, with a steadfast goal: to mobilize social power to bring equal access to education to students in the most disadvantaged areas.
After more than 7 years of silent dedication, the program has funded over 100 billion VND, repaired and built 296 schools, and brought the light of knowledge and hope to more than 200,000 students and teachers across Vietnam.
GELEX Compassion – Building Community Happiness
Driven by the urgent need to address the severe overcrowding faced by two leading medical centers (the Stroke Center and the A9 Emergency Center - Bach Mai Hospital), GELEX Group's project aims to promptly renovate and expand emergency care capacity, helping thousands of patients reclaim the "golden hour" and save their lives.
The project reflects the aspiration to improve the quality of life and peace of mind for the people by creating a more spacious, modern, and convenient treatment space, while also providing a positive and inspiring working environment for the medical team.

The Skyline Memory Coloring Project: After more than four years of operation, the project has restored over 8,000 photos, organized nearly 30 commemorative programs, and attracted hundreds of millions of views on social media. With the goal of restoring photos of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers free of charge, the Skyline Group has pioneered the application of AI and modern image processing technology to revive thousands of old photos, helping to recreate portraits, emotions, and historical memories that are gradually fading away. Mr. Khuat Van Hoang - Deputy Head of the Skyline Memory Coloring Group - received the award.
The "Vietnamese Family Shelter" project is a humanitarian journey continuing Hoa Sen Group's 10 years of philanthropic work. In over three years since its inception, the program has covered 26 out of 34 provinces and cities, supporting nearly 500 families in overcoming adversity, donating 52 billion VND, and helping over 1,000 children continue their education. Mr. Tran Dinh Tai, Deputy General Director of Hoa Sen Group and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnamese Family Shelter program, received the award.
The "Hair Library" project is a persistent journey of the Breast Cancer Network Vietnam (BCNV) to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families, alleviating the silent suffering of cancer patients through the free donation of wigs made from real human hair. The project operates on a humane community model: calling on people to donate real hair, thereby creating high-quality wigs that are provided completely free of charge to patients undergoing chemotherapy nationwide. Ms. Do Thi Lan Anh - Executive Director of the Breast Cancer Network Vietnam - received the award.

The "Humanity in the Waves" project was launched in October 2020 and has continued to this day, with operations spanning from central to northern provinces. This is a completely free water rescue model, providing support to flood-affected areas and searching for missing persons. In the context of increasingly complex natural disasters and rising drowning accidents, many families are facing hardship and are unable to afford search costs. The project has become a humanitarian anchor, providing timely assistance in reuniting victims with their families, minimizing losses and suffering for the community. Over the past five years, thousands of cases have been found, ensuring no one is left behind in the water. Mr. Nham Quang Van - General Team Leader of the 116 Rescue Team - received the award.
The "Light a Match" project, initiated by journalist and Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Truong Giang - Head of the Publishing and Communications Department of the People's Army Newspaper - over the past nearly two decades, has built 36 essential infrastructure projects in disadvantaged villages from Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen to Quang Tri and Ho Chi Minh City. From 2014 to the present, Mr. Hoang Truong Giang has continued to raise billions of VND to help families of officers and soldiers in the armed forces who are facing difficulties.

Bright eyes of the community
DND International Eye Hospital initiated the "Bright Eyes for the Community" project, a philanthropic endeavor that has been sustained for over a decade.
The project was born from the aspiration to bring modern ophthalmic technology closer to everyone, removing barriers of cost, distance, and awareness in eye care. Many lives have been freed from darkness thanks to this quiet project.
The project has provided 2 million free eye examinations and consultations, over 1 million students have received free eye exams and measurements, and more than 6,000 community health check-up programs have been implemented…
A new beginning
The program supports women, especially rural and disadvantaged women, by inspiring them, equipping them with vocational and business skills, and giving them access to capital so they can confidently start businesses and create sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
After nearly 18 years of implementation, the model has proven remarkably effective, with over 90,000 women receiving entrepreneurship skills training, over 50,000 women receiving loans for economic development, and 30 million women being inspired…
VietSeeds Scholarship Fund
Founded in 2011, Vietseeds has helped young people from disadvantaged backgrounds but with strong willpower and aspirations to have the opportunity to change their lives.
For nearly 15 years, VietSeeds has not only provided long-term financial support but also offered skills training programs, one-on-one mentoring with experienced teachers, and encouraged students to participate in community projects.
The organization is proud that its "seed" generation not only breaks the cycle of poverty but also continues the spirit of "giving back," contributing to a sustainable and compassionate society.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Community Action Award, shared: "We have just witnessed the most beautiful moments of the award. The moment when kind people took to the stage to receive the trophy. With this award, the moment of receiving the trophy is not the end but the beginning, because the award was created not only to honor one person or one organization but to awaken many others, not to close with a ceremony but to open a new journey, choosing to become part of community actions together. We believe that the award only truly lives on when it continues to create action afterward. This year, we witnessed that entering into life."

Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice President of Vietnam, presented the prestigious Award of the Year - the 2025 Community Action Award to 5 projects:
Trang Nguyen Education - A 10-Year Journey of Spreading Knowledge
For over ten years, Trạng Nguyên Education, a product of Trạng Nguyên Education Investment Co., Ltd., has steadfastly pursued its mission of "Bringing technology to villages - Sowing the seeds of knowledge and enlightenment," bringing knowledge to millions of students, especially in disadvantaged areas, through modern technology, digital learning materials, and a love for education.
With over 20 million participating students, more than 10,000 partner schools across 34 provinces and cities, and thousands of scholarships and free accounts awarded each year, Trang Nguyen Education is a learning platform that bridges regional gaps through knowledge and technology.
School Internet
In 2008, the percentage of the Vietnamese population with internet access was only about 24.20%. Against this backdrop, the Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Training to implement the "Internet for Schools" program for students in 100% of educational institutions nationwide.
"School Internet" has contributed to bridging the huge gap between urban, rural, and mountainous areas. The project has also been expanded to many other countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Peru, Haiti, Mozambique, Myanmar, and Burundi.
Miza - A circular economy model in the paper industry
In Vietnam, millions of tons of paper are discarded into the environment each year, putting immense pressure on the waste treatment system and wasting a valuable, reusable resource.
Recognizing this situation, Miza Joint Stock Company has pioneered the development of a circular economy model in the paper industry, aiming to transform waste into new raw materials.
In addition to environmental benefits, Miza builds a circular ecosystem within society through educational programs for students and local people, and collects materials directly from those communities for Miza's business operations.
Charitable Foundation: Serving for a better life for all.
In 2006, the Charitable Foundation was officially established, pioneering community service activities with a strategic vision and far-reaching impact.
The fund has a presence in 34 provinces and cities, implementing almost all comprehensive programs, supporting social welfare, poverty reduction, providing practical support to millions of people, and programs supporting education, culture, talent development, and infrastructure construction... with a total budget of up to 15,500 billion VND.
Intergenerational Self-Help Club
With the rapid aging of the population, many elderly people in Vietnam are facing poor health, inadequate social security, and the risk of being left behind. Recognizing this reality, the Intergenerational Self-Help Club was established by the Vietnam Association of the Elderly.
Each Intergenerational Self-Help Club is a voluntary social organization with 50 to 70 members, approximately 70% of whom are elderly people, women, and people in difficult circumstances. They support each other in improving health, increasing income, caring for vulnerable people, promoting community solidarity, and empowering the role of the elderly.
In addition to the official award categories, at this year's Gala Awards Ceremony, the Judging Panel of the Community Action Award decided to add a special category called "Silent Service".
This category is dedicated to recognizing and honoring individuals and projects that have made sustained contributions, created positive impacts, and strongly inspired the community, but for various reasons were unable to participate in or be nominated for the Award. The addition of this category reflects the open and humane spirit of the Community Action Award, aiming to ensure that no one is overlooked who is quietly and selflessly dedicating themselves to society.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Community Action Award, presented the award to two individuals honored in the "Silent Service" category:
Ms. Tran Thi Cam Giang is the founder and director of Thien Duyen Shelter in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City. For nearly 40 years, Thien Duyen Shelter has been a haven for over 100 unfortunate individuals, from abandoned newborns and children with cerebral palsy to elderly people without a place to live. Quietly, with perseverance and unconditional love, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Giang – affectionately known as "Mother Muoi" – has nurtured, cared for, and supported vulnerable lives under one roof.
Due to her advanced age and frail health, Mrs. Tran Thi Cam Giang was unable to travel to Hanoi to attend the award ceremony. Therefore, the award organizers personally presented the award to her at the Thien Duyen Orphanage.

Dr. Le Thanh Do , a doctor and war veteran in Hanoi, has spent over 20 years producing and donating thousands of prosthetic limbs free of charge to impoverished disabled people across the country. Utilizing his own home as a workshop, and with the support of technicians and philanthropists, Dr. Le Thanh Do has not only helped disabled people move around and work more easily, but also instilled in them confidence, self-esteem, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
The "Silent Service" category serves as a reminder that, alongside the projects honored on stage, there are still many people quietly contributing to making society better every day – and all sincere service deserves to be appreciated.
Sharing his thoughts after receiving the award, Dr. Le Thanh Do said that as a war veteran, during his time in the hospital, he witnessed the plight of people with disabilities and deeply sympathized with them. Through his efforts and dedication, he and his team of volunteers have developed the skills to create orthopedic devices for people with disabilities.

On this occasion, Dr. Le Thanh Do also expressed his gratitude to the benefactors, especially the Thien Tam Foundation, which has accompanied the volunteer team in helping more than 700 people with disabilities over the past four years. "Thank you to all the benefactors who have accompanied us in helping people with disabilities on their journey of serving the community," Dr. Le Thanh Do expressed.
Recalling the early days of implementation, he said they faced many difficulties regarding infrastructure and limited funding. The support of colleagues and friends helped him and his team overcome that period.
The work has become increasingly effective and reputable, attracting the attention and support of philanthropists both domestically and internationally in helping people with disabilities integrate into the community. "We are very happy to have helped those who have lost their ability to work to do things that are suitable for their lives," expressed Dr. Le Thanh Do.
