
Thanh Thúy couldn't hold back her tears after the heartbreaking defeat against Thailand.
On the evening of December 15th, Thanh Thúy and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team experienced heartbreaking moments in the SEA Games 33 final. After five sets of determination and effort, they succumbed to Thailand with a score of 2-3.
Notably, Thanh Thúy and her teammates had many opportunities to finish the match but failed to capitalize. Ultimately, they suffered a defeat in a controversial play. After failing to convince the referee, she and her teammates could only collapse on the court at the Huamark Arena.
Never before had the historic gold medal at the SEA Games been so close. Therefore, this defeat is far more bitter than in previous Games. Thanh Thúy herself played her heart out, almost completely dominating the most difficult aspects such as the first touch and attack.
While resting and waiting for the medal ceremony, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy couldn't hold back her tears. She cried so much that her two teammates, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh and Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, had to comfort her.
It wasn't until she went up to receive her medal that Thanh Thúy stopped crying. In another corner, Kim Thoa and Như Anh also couldn't control their emotions. Meanwhile, coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt, after coming out of the tunnel, also seemed to have tears in his eyes. However, he still went to shake hands, pat on the head, and encourage each of his students.
Never before has the Vietnamese women's volleyball team given fans such intense emotions. Despite the heartbreaking loss, the moments of hope they brought are worth remembering forever.

In another corner, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his assistant Nguyen Trong Linh looked sadly into the distance.

It wasn't until she was waiting to receive her medal that Thanh Thúy stopped crying.
