
In the southern area of Quang Tri province, Huong Phung Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command) coordinated with charitable groups and philanthropists to organize the donation of practical and meaningful gifts, aiming to support and share the difficulties with the people and students in the area where the unit is stationed.
During the program, officers and soldiers of Huong Phung Border Guard Station, along with members of the volunteer group, organized activities such as traditional talks and legal awareness campaigns for the local people and students. In addition, the organizers visited and encouraged families in difficult circumstances, families receiving government assistance, and students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies. Within the framework of the program, the organizers presented practical gifts (cash) to 130 households with a total value of 150 million VND; and presented savings accounts to 18 students participating in the "Helping Children Go to School - Children Adopted by the Border Guard Station" program.
In addition, to jointly care for the lives of the people in the border area, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people and making the appearance of villages and hamlets in the border region increasingly vibrant, Huong Phung Border Guard Station also coordinated with charitable groups and sponsors to organize the inauguration and handover of the "National Flag Road" project combined with the "Border Region Lighting" system on the central road of the commune with a length of 5 km, worth 200 million VND.
Also on December 13th, the Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command), the Trieu Van Border Guard Station Youth Union, in coordination with the Nam Cua Viet Commune Youth Union and related units, organized the launching ceremony of the "Winter Volunteer Program 2025 and Spring Volunteer Program 2026". At the ceremony, the organizing committee approved the plan for the Winter Volunteer Program 2025 and Spring Volunteer Program 2026 with many practical contents, focusing on social welfare activities, honoring those who have contributed to the nation, protecting the environment, and disseminating legal information to the people, especially fishermen in the coastal border area.

Major Nguyen Van Sau, Political Officer of Trieu Van Border Guard Station, said: "The meaningful activities, projects, and tasks of the program are directed towards the grassroots, suitable to the needs and realities of the locality, maximizing effectiveness and avoiding formality. Each youth union member is truly a pioneering force, exemplary and responsible in performing their duties. Volunteer activities not only have profound humanitarian significance but also contribute to building a solid 'people's defense'. Through this, it also contributes to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people, building the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the Border Guard in the new era, consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State, and uniting to firmly protect the sacred territorial sovereignty of the Fatherland."
Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers, soldiers, and youth union members promptly implemented the program's contents and activities. In particular, officers and soldiers of the Trieu Van Border Guard Post, along with youth union members and local residents, enthusiastically participated in cleaning and beautifying the environment around the Martyrs' Cemetery in Hamlet 9, Nam Cua Viet Commune (Quang Tri Province) to pay tribute to previous generations, demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and practically celebrating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
The "Winter Volunteer Program 2025 and Spring Volunteer Program 2026" is an activity with profound political and social significance, contributing to the education of revolutionary ideals, fostering a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute among the youth of Trieu Van Border Guard; and helping to spread the positive image of border guards among the people in the border region of their homeland.
