The male student was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Le Kien Thanh, a former student of the 12th grade Computer Science class at Le Quy Don Specialized High School (Gia Lai), has been honored with the Second Class Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam for his outstanding academic achievements.

On December 13th, Mr. Huynh Le Minh, Principal of Le Quy Don Specialized High School ( Gia Lai province), announced that Le Kien Thanh, a former student of the school's 12th-grade Informatics class, was honored with the Second Class Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam for his outstanding achievements in winning a Gold Medal at the International Informatics Olympiad and a Silver Medal at the Asian Informatics Olympiad in 2025.

Le Quy Don Specialized High School and Le Kien Thanh's homeroom teacher also received commendations from the Ministry of Education and Training .

Le Kien Thanh is currently a first-year student at the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City).

At the 2025 Student Informatics Olympiad, which concluded on December 12th, Le Kien Thanh excellently won the championship trophy in the Super Cup category.

According to Mr. Minh, Le Kien Thanh is one of the school's outstanding students and has achieved many commendable accomplishments.

During his time at school, Thanh achieved many high scores in exams. Not only was he excellent in computer science, but he was also well-rounded, excelling in all subjects as a student, achieving excellent academic results in all three years of grades 10, 11, and 12, and earning an IELTS score of 8.0.

In the youth movement, Le Kien Thanh has achieved many accomplishments, such as being a top-performing student at the provincial level in the 2022-2023 school year, receiving the Ngo May Award in 2023, and being recognized as an outstanding youth following Uncle Ho's teachings at the central level for the 2023-2025 period.

Earlier, Gia Lai province also held a meeting to commend and award 100 million VND to congratulate Le Kien Thanh on his achievement.

At the ceremony, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Le Kien Thanh's achievement is not only a source of pride for him, his family, and his school, but also a "powerful testament" to Vietnamese intelligence and the aspirations of Gia Lai's students to reach further.

According to Mr. Lam Hai Giang, the province will continue to pay attention to and invest in advanced education, identify and nurture young talents, and spread the spirit of learning and the aspiration to contribute to all students.
