In Tong Nua hamlet, Ha Lang commune, the golden hues of wild sunflowers blanket the low hills and roadside plots. In the morning, as the sun rises, the flowers glow with a vibrant yellow, standing out against the backdrop of rocky mountains and small houses nestled at the foot of the hills. The tranquility and pristine nature of this border region make it a favorite destination for many tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong (a tourist from Hanoi ) said he spent a lot of time walking around the village to capture the moments of the flower season: “The flowers in Ha Lang don't stretch into large carpets like in some other places, but the colors are very vibrant and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. There weren't many tourists, so taking photos was quite easy; it felt like walking in a private space of the golden season.”

In Quang Uyen commune and the Phuc Sen blacksmith village area in Uyen Hoa commune, wild sunflowers also bloom profusely along the inter-village roads. The flowers, interspersed among the rooftops, cliffs, and traditional blacksmiths' workshops, create a distinctive highlight of the highlands.

Ms. Bui Hoang Ly Ly (a tourist from Hanoi) shared: “I’ve seen wild sunflowers in many places, but in Phuc Sen, the combination of the flowers with the blacksmith village setting creates a very unique scene. You can take beautiful photos from any angle.”

According to observations, the flowers bloomed early and simultaneously this year, lasting from the end of November to mid-December. The weather, with little rain and gentle sunshine, created favorable conditions for tourists to visit and take photos.

Besides admiring the flowers, tourists can combine their trip with exploring Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, Thang Hen Lake, or the highland markets.

The wild sunflower season also coincides with the time when Cao Bang intensifies its year-end tourism promotion activities.

Tourist Nguyen Thanh Binh (Hanoi) commented: “Flowers bloom along the road, many sections are a vibrant yellow and very beautiful. The scenery in Cao Bang is still pristine and unspoiled, offering a delightful experience.”

The wild sunflower season lasts only about a month before the weather turns very cold. During these days, groups of young people, backpackers, and photography enthusiasts from Hanoi are flocking to Cao Bang to capture the distinctive yellow color of this border region.
