In the women's doubles badminton semi-final that just concluded, Vu Thi Trang and Bui Bich Phuong lost 0-2 to Kusuma and Puspitasari (Indonesia). Ly Hong Phuc (74kg category), Tran Thi Anh Tuyet (57kg category), and Nguyen Thi Loan (53kg category) have advanced to the semi-finals in key events for Vietnamese Taekwondo. The athletes will compete in the semi-finals this afternoon.

Thúy Hiền finished 6th in the 100m butterfly qualifying round with a time of 1 minute 11 seconds 95.

Huy Hoang finished 4th with a time of 1 minute 51 seconds 69. This is significantly worse than when Huy Hoang won the bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games (01:49.31). The reigning champion in this event, Khiew Hoe Yean, maintained his form.
