Student volunteers join forces for the success of the Tien Phong Half Marathon 2025.

TPO - On December 13th, over a hundred student volunteers from various universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City arrived early and enthusiastically participated in supporting the first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025. With their pioneering spirit, responsibility, and youthful enthusiasm, they made a significant contribution to the organization, ensuring the race was safe, professional, and successful.

The student volunteers were assigned to various roles, such as: assisting athletes with registration procedures, distributing race kits, guiding race routes, providing water, offering initial medical care, and coordinating at the finish line area.

The student force for this recruitment drive was mobilized from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, University of Finance and Marketing, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.

Sharing their feelings about participating in supporting the event, many students said that this was a valuable opportunity to directly participate in a large-scale sporting event, thereby gaining a better understanding of the process of organizing and running a professional running race.

Despite the long hours, high concentration, and seamless coordination required, the volunteers always maintained a cheerful spirit, ready to support the athletes and organizers alike.

Not only will students hone their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, but they will also have the opportunity to learn from real-world experiences, supplementing the knowledge they have acquired in the classroom.

Beyond its professional significance, participating in the Tien Phong Half Marathon also helps students spread the spirit of sportsmanship and a healthy, active lifestyle to the community. The enthusiasm and friendliness of the volunteers left a positive impression on the athletes and the people watching the race.

Despite it being their first time serving at a large-scale race, many students adapted to the job quite quickly and demonstrated good teamwork skills.

The first Tien Phong Half Marathon – 2025 is not only an attractive sporting event but also a vibrant practical environment for students who love sports and event organizing to gain experience, hone their skills, and grow. Through this, it contributes to affirming the pioneering role of young people in social, sports, and community activities.
