
Opening the press conference, coach Mai Duc Chung praised the progress of the Indonesian women's team compared to their last encounter at the AFF Cup held in Hai Phong . According to him, the addition of naturalized players has brought new energy, helping Indonesia significantly improve their technical skills.
“We will face Indonesia in the semi-finals, and this promises to be a great match. Indonesia is a rapidly improving team with many positive changes. I have a high regard for our opponent, and the whole team will focus their best on this match,” emphasized coach Mai Duc Chung.
Analyzing the opponent in more detail, the head coach of the Vietnamese women's national team said that the coaching staff had made thorough preparations against Indonesia's naturalized players who possess good physique and fitness.
"We have studied our opponents and will have appropriate countermeasures, organizing close marking, maximizing the abilities of each player to perform at their best. Although Indonesia has many naturalized players, I believe the Vietnamese women's team will win," he affirmed.
Also attending the press conference, striker Pham Hai Yen said that the whole team is in good spirits and ready for the important match. "My teammates and I are always confident and united when we take to the field, and we hope to continue receiving the support of the fans," Hai Yen shared.
Speaking further about being given the captain's armband during the SEA Games 33 matches, Hai Yen expressed her honor and responsibility. She affirmed that the long-standing bond of the team is an important foundation for the Vietnamese women's national team to develop collective strength, play unitedly, and aim for victory.

Conversely, Indonesian women's national team coach Akira Higashiyama stated that the team's goal is to make history by reaching the top four at the SEA Games for the first time.
He expressed confidence ahead of the semi-final match, while also acknowledging that the Vietnamese women's team is a very strong opponent and a top contender for the championship. "We will strive to play well in tomorrow's match and aim for victory," said Akira Higashiyama.
According to the plan, this afternoon the Vietnamese women's national team will have a training session at San Suk Stadium to finalize their tactics for the semi-final match taking place at 4 PM tomorrow (December 14th) at TSNU Chonburi Stadium.
