The HNX will be closed for trading for one day during the New Year's Day holiday in 2026.

The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has just announced its trading holiday schedule for the 2026 New Year's Day.

Accordingly, the Hanoi Stock Exchange will be closed for trading on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The Hanoi Stock Exchange will resume normal trading from Friday, January 2, 2026.

In addition, the Hanoi Stock Exchange announced the trading holiday schedule for 2026, specifically:

Based on the Labor Code No. 45/2019/QH14 dated November 20, 2019, of the National Assembly; Notice No. 9441/TB-BNV dated October 16, 2025, of the Ministry of Interior regarding Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2026 for officials, civil servants, and employees; Official Letter No. 3660/UBCK-PTTT dated June 10, 2024, of the State Securities Commission on the announcement of trading and settlement holiday schedules; and Official Letter No. 1403/SGDVN-THHC dated November 28, 2025, of the Vietnam Stock Exchange on the announcement of trading holiday schedules for 2026, the Hanoi Stock Exchange announces the trading holiday schedule for 2026 as follows:

1 New Year's Day Take a day off.
Thursday, January 1, 2026
2 Lunar New Year 5 days off
Holiday from Monday, February 16, 2026 (December 29, 2025 Lunar Calendar) until Friday, February 20, 2026 (4th day of Lunar New Year).
3 Hung Kings Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month) Take a day off.
Closed on Monday, April 27, 2026
4 Liberation of Southern Vietnam on April 30th and International Labor Day on May 1st. Two days off
Holiday from Thursday, April 30, 2026 to Friday, May 1, 2026
5 National Day, September 2nd 3 days off
The Hanoi Stock Exchange will be closed from Monday, August 31, 2026 to Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (Working days will be swapped from Monday, August 31, 2026 to Saturday, August 22, 2026). The Hanoi Stock Exchange will not conduct securities trading on the compensatory working day.
