QNgTV - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Directive No. 34 on rectifying, enhancing transparency, and preventing corruption in the review, purchase, sale, and rental of social housing.

The directive states that to ensure the goal of "stable housing and employment" for low-income earners and industrial zone workers, many ministries, localities, and businesses have made efforts to implement and develop social housing, achieving many positive results. However, the practical implementation of the review, purchase, lease-purchase, and rental of social housing in recent times at some projects in Hanoi , Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, etc. , shows some shortcomings, inadequacies, and potential negative consequences.
To promptly rectify and overcome existing shortcomings, the Prime Minister instructed the People's Committees of provinces and cities to take full responsibility for the results of implementing policies on the development, sale, lease, and lease-purchase of social housing; and to strictly adhere to the procedures for selling, leasing, and purchasing social housing as prescribed by law. Project information must be publicly disclosed after commencement, on the website of the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of the commune where the project is located; and published at least once. This includes publicly disclosing the number of apartments, the start and end dates for receiving applications, and the start date of sales.
Verify and confirm eligibility, limiting instances of individuals applying to multiple projects; publicly disclose the list of buyers and renters after contract signing, and update the list on the information website to avoid duplication of applicants. Verify eligibility, income, and housing conditions according to regulations.
