
The culinary website TasteAtlas has just announced the Top 100 best food cities in the world as part of the TasteAtlas 2025/2026 awards. Notably, Vietnam has three representatives: Hue, with a score of 4.55 out of 5, ranking 36th; Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, ranking 47th and 60th respectively. The website emphasizes that Hue's traditional cuisine is incredibly rich, diverse, and flavorful. Dishes not to be missed include Hue beef noodle soup, grilled pork skewers, sweet potato cakes, and grilled pork noodle soup... Among them, Hue beef noodle soup is considered the most iconic and outstanding dish of the ancient capital.

When visiting Hanoi, Taste Atlas advises tourists not to miss spring rolls, banana cake, pho, bun cha, bun dau mam tom, egg coffee, lotus tea... Beef pho is one of the top dishes of Hanoi.

Ho Chi Minh City is famous for its spring rolls, sweet soups, braised fish in clay pot, sour fish soup, papaya salad, chicken pho, beef pho... In particular, broken rice (com tam) is a familiar dish to the locals. In this city, tourists can enjoy broken rice anywhere, from street stalls and casual eateries to upscale restaurants. Com tam is made from broken rice grains, the kind of rice usually discarded after milling. However, over time, broken rice has become one of Ho Chi Minh City's signature specialties.
