PIONEERING IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Over the past period, the Dao Thanh Ward Youth Union has focused on leading and directing grassroots youth branches to strengthen propaganda work among union members and young people regarding the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; continuing to effectively organize the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; and actively promoting and introducing the ward's typical tourist destinations…
As a result, the Youth Union's work and youth movement have achieved many positive results, creating a clear transformation in the awareness and actions of its members and young people.
In particular, the digital transformation movement has been implemented synchronously, flexibly, and creatively, becoming a prominent highlight in the work of the Youth Union.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward, said: “Many of the Youth Union's activities have been innovated through the application of digital technology , clearly demonstrated in the management, direction, administration of work, information processing, and reporting procedures.”
Furthermore, digital platforms are effectively applied in introducing and promoting historical and cultural relics, products made by young people, and activities in many fields such as: production, environmental protection, traffic safety, national security and defense, social order and safety... The shift from traditional to digital methods of implementation has helped to transmit information quickly, promptly, and accurately; while saving costs and improving operational efficiency.”
As a pioneering force in the digital transformation movement, the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward is actively promoting and guiding its members, young people, and residents to install, activate, and use digital platforms such as VNeID, cashless payment, Tien Giang S, Party Member Handbook, and Vietnamese Youth; while also disseminating policies and laws to young people…
The Dao Thanh Ward Youth Union effectively implemented models such as: "Digitizing information on religious establishments," "Digital transformation of lodging houses" in Quarter 2, disseminating information on public service procedures for temporary residents, launching campaigns to collect plastic waste, cleaning the environment, trimming trees, and planting flowers along the streets...
Through practical and effective activities, the digital transformation movement of the Dao Thanh Ward Youth Union contributes to raising awareness and changing people's habits in accessing and using digital services. This clearly demonstrates the pioneering and creative role of young people in participating in building a digital government, a digital society, and a civilized urban environment.
Another notable achievement is that the Dao Thanh Ward Youth Union has focused on organizing numerous activities to support young people in starting and developing businesses, linked to the practical needs of the locality, such as: training in business startup skills, guiding young people to access preferential loan sources, and introducing and replicating exemplary youth economic models.
Since then, many exemplary young people excelling in production and business have been recognized, spreading the spirit of daring to think and act, and igniting the aspiration to rise up and legitimately become wealthy among the youth union members of Dao Thanh ward.
In particular, in 2025, the Dao Thanh Ward Youth Union, in coordination with relevant agencies and units, will organize the awarding of capital support to 5 young entrepreneurs, contributing to creating conditions for young people to develop production and business models, stabilize their lives, and make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
As a prime example in the youth entrepreneurship movement, Mr. Ta Hoang Tien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ward 5, Dao Thanh Commune, has successfully started a beverage shop business, building his own brand. Beyond his economic endeavors, Mr. Tien is also the creator of the "Hanging Gifts" model – a place to display small gifts for underprivileged children and people in difficult circumstances, ensuring that anyone in need can receive timely assistance.
Mr. Tien shared: “Thanks to the timely attention and support of the Youth Union of Dao Thanh ward, I have more motivation and conditions to boldly start my business and develop my business model.”
The "Hanging Gifts" model is a project I've cherished for a long time; although the gifts here may not have great material value, when given away, they can provide timely assistance to underprivileged children and elderly people in difficult circumstances, and at the same time, partially compensate for the hardships they endure in life."
IMPLEMENT 3 BREAKTHROUGH TASKS
With the demand for innovation, creativity, and deep integration, the Youth Union work and youth movement in Dao Thanh ward need strong and practical transformations. Recognizing the crucial role of young people in local development, in the next term, the ward's Youth Union has identified three breakthrough tasks to improve the quality of its activities, promote the pioneering and creative role of its members and young people, and meet the demands of the digital transformation era.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward, said: “To improve the effectiveness of activities and promote the pioneering and creative role of union members and young people, the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward will continue to strongly innovate the methods of operation of the Union to suit the new situation; focus on improving the quality of branch activities, diversify forms of youth gathering; at the same time, strengthen the application of digital technology in management, operation and organization of activities, ensuring practicality, effectiveness and suitability to the needs and aspirations of union members and young people in the area.
Simultaneously, extensive activities will be implemented to support young people in establishing careers and starting businesses, especially innovative startups. The ward's Youth Union will act as a bridge, accompanying young people in accessing information, improving knowledge and skills, connecting with capital and social resources; organizing forums, seminars, and creative idea competitions; and supporting young people in realizing economic models suitable to local conditions.
In addition, the youth union will enhance digital skills and the ability to master science and technology for young people. The ward's youth union will promote training courses, establish volunteer youth teams for community digital transformation; encourage young people to apply technology in learning, work, and creativity; and create technology playgrounds, computer clubs, and foreign language clubs. Through these efforts, the ward will contribute to building a dynamic, creative, and integrated generation of young people, meeting the demands of the digital transformation era and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
It is evident that the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward has affirmed its pioneering, creative, and leading role in all fields, from digital transformation and entrepreneurship to social welfare activities, environmental protection, and community building.
These efforts not only bring practical benefits to union members, young people, and the people, but also contribute to building the image of the youth of Dao Thanh as dynamic, enthusiastic, and compassionate, helping the locality effectively carry out political tasks and build Dao Thanh ward into an increasingly civilized, prosperous, and sustainably developed area.
