On December 13th, the Investigation Police Department of An Giang province issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and indict Nguyen Van Hau, born in 2003 (residing in Phuoc Thanh Lap hamlet, Go Quao commune, An Giang province), for the crime of "theft of property".

The Provincial Police Investigation Agency served the decisions to initiate criminal proceedings and indict suspect Nguyen Van Hau.

Previously, on October 13th, the Go Quao commune police received a report from Ms. Huynh Ngoc D, residing in Phuoc Thoi hamlet, Go Quao commune, about the loss of 11 million VND that she had kept in her house.

Upon receiving the report, the Go Quao commune police verified the information and identified Nguyen Van Hau as a suspect, so they invited him to the station for questioning.

At the police station, Hau confessed that he was hired by Ms. D to repair her air conditioner. Taking advantage of the absence of others, Hau stole the money Ms. D had kept in a drawer, then took it to Mr. Cuong's house (the owner of the air conditioner repair shop) to hide it.

The Go Quao commune police have seized the evidence. Currently, the Provincial Police Investigation Department is continuing to investigate and clarify the case, and will handle it according to the law.
