
The People's Committee of Son Kien commune, in coordination with the An Giang Provincial Employment Service Center, organized a job fair to provide career counseling and job placement services for workers.
According to Do Tien Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Kien commune, Son Kien currently has 14 hamlets, over 14,000 hectares of agricultural land, and more than 20,000 people of working age. The commune's poverty rate has decreased to 0.81%, and the average per capita income has reached over 65 million VND/year, contributing to the fulfillment of criteria for building a new-style rural commune.

However, the current labor market is undergoing many changes, with the application of science and technology linked to digital transformation, demanding professional skills, requiring job changes, and creating more sustainable livelihoods for people. Therefore, the demand for vocational training and stable employment is increasing, making today's event an opportunity for people to access complete, accurate, and timely job recruitment information.

At the event, workers received advice on domestic employment, occupations in industrial zones and large enterprises in the province and surrounding areas; learned about labor export programs to high-demand markets; were introduced to short-term vocational training courses, including work-study programs suitable for rural workers; and received support in answering questions about unemployment insurance, social insurance, and the rights and obligations of workers.
The job fair attracted over 400 job seekers and featured 3 companies providing career counseling and recruitment services.
