A large number of youth union members, young people, and residents of Hiep Thanh ward participated in the "Model for exchanging recyclable waste for essential goods in 2025" program.
The program attracted a large number of youth union members, young people, and residents in Hiep Thanh ward. Through this activity, participating units focused on promoting awareness and educating the community about the harmful effects of plastic waste on the environment, especially the marine environment. They also guided residents on how to sort, collect, and recycle household waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
The coordinating units prepared gifts of essential goods to exchange for recyclable waste.
As a result, the program collected over 100 kg of various types of plastic waste and exchanged 100 packages of essential goods, totaling 10 million VND, for disadvantaged households. This activity not only contributes to social welfare but also encourages people to develop habits of reducing waste and recycling in their daily lives.
Representatives from youth union branches and youth organizations presented gifts to children, thereby contributing to educating and raising awareness about environmental protection, and encouraging the proper collection and recycling of plastic waste.
The "Model of exchanging recyclable waste for essential goods" demonstrates the proactive and voluntary spirit of young people in protecting the environment and building a civilized, green, clean, and beautiful lifestyle. It also strengthens the close relationship between the military and civilians in the coastal border area of Ca Mau province. Through this, it strongly spreads the message of green living and working together to preserve the marine environment for the sustainable development of the locality.
