Driven by the desire to bring complete smiles and a brighter future to underprivileged children, since 2018, Operation Smile Vietnam has collaborated with sponsors to implement many meaningful medical programs in Dak Lak province, supporting over 2,500 children with a total budget exceeding 3 billion VND. Of these, nearly 500 children received screening and surgery for cleft lip and palate deformities; and over 2,100 children received examinations and treatment for dental problems.

th
In addition to completely free examinations and surgeries, the program also provides partial financial support for travel, food, and accommodation for patients and their families throughout the treatment period.

Following the success of previous programs, this phase aims to screen approximately 150-200 children and adults who unfortunately have congenital facial deformities such as cleft lip and palate, craniofacial deformities, and other abnormalities. After thorough examinations, about 100 eligible cases will undergo reconstructive surgery, which will take place from December 13th to 17th, 2025, at the Buon Ma Thuot University Medical Center.

In addition to completely free examinations and surgeries, the program also provides partial financial support for travel, food, and accommodation for patients and their families throughout the treatment period.

The program is supported by nearly 40 doctors, nurses, and medical staff from various hospitals across the country. Each surgery is performed strictly according to the procedures and professional standards of the Ministry of Health and Operation Smile, prioritizing patient safety above all else.

Through each examination and surgery, the program has contributed to overcoming congenital deformities, giving children more opportunities to improve their health, appearance, and self-confidence in life. Beyond its therapeutic significance, the program also demonstrates the concern and support of all levels of government, sectors, and the community for disadvantaged children, contributing to improving their quality of life and creating conditions for better integration into the community.
