Transform your mindset and keep pace with the digital economy trends.
Currently, Ca Mau province has 343 OCOP products, including 266 products with 3 stars, 75 products with 4 stars, and 2 products with 5 stars, mainly concentrated in the food, beverage, herbal, and handicraft categories. Along with investing in improving quality, design, and packaging, many businesses are boldly entering the online business environment – a fiercely competitive but potentially lucrative arena.
Pioneering the application of digital technology to expand markets is the Dam Doi Crab Cooperative (Quach Pham Commune). Since August 2023, the cooperative has participated in online OCOP (One Commune One Product) markets, introduced its products via livestream, and built a storefront on e-commerce platforms.

Ms. Tran Thi Xa, Director of the Dam Doi Crab Cooperative, introduces the product during an online sales livestream.
Ms. Tran Thi Xa, Director of the Dam Doi Crab Cooperative, commented: “Previously, product sales were mainly through distributors, so prices and output were unstable. By participating in e-commerce platforms, we are more proactive in reaching customers, controlling selling prices, and promoting our product image. This is also an opportunity for the cooperative to learn modern trading methods and keep pace with the digital transformation trend.”
Building on initial success, the cooperative's salted mud crab product has become increasingly well-known to consumers both within and outside the province, with online orders steadily increasing, especially during peak holiday seasons.
Affirming the OCOP brand of Ca Mau
Effectively utilizing digital platforms to showcase local specialties, SK Noni Production - Trading Co., Ltd. (Tran Van Thoi Commune) has built its own website, connected its sales Fanpage to national e-commerce platforms, and established QR codes for traceability to increase transparency and build customer trust.
Mr. Khuu Van Chuong, Director of SK Noni Production and Trading Company, said: “Consumers today are very concerned about the origin and safety of products. When applying digital transformation, product information is made public and easily accessible to customers, and the company receives feedback from customers more quickly. This is an important factor in enhancing reputation and expanding the market.”

Mr. Khuu Van Chuong, Director of SK Noni Production - Trading Co., Ltd., introduced the product lines of noni juice concentrate.
Proactively embracing the digital market, Minh Quach Cooperative (Tran Phan Commune) not only boosts sales through online channels but also actively produces video content to promote the image and story of its products, spreading the value of the distinctive products of Ca Mau province.
Mr. Quach Minh Xuyen, Director of Minh Quach Cooperative, shared: “We view digital transformation not only as a promotional tool, but also as a way to connect the culture and people of Ca Mau with consumers nationwide. Each OCOP product is a unique story, and the digital environment helps those stories reach the community faster and more deeply.”
Promoting OCOP products on digital platforms plays a crucial role in enhancing management capabilities and modern business thinking for businesses. Many units have implemented online payment systems, transformed their brand identity, and built professional communication content, helping OCOP products not only "sell goods" but also "sell value".
In the context of the strong promotion of digital transformation, the model of applying technology to the development of OCOP products in Ca Mau shows the right direction. Each OCOP product not only contributes to the development of the rural economy but also becomes a bridge to promote the culture and people of Ca Mau - the southernmost land of the country, integrating into the flow of the digital economy.
