The OCOP product week, featuring regional specialties and connecting supply and demand between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities in 2025, will take place from December 19-21 at the Bai Sau area (Tho Trang Park, old night market), Vung Tau Ward.
The event brought together 24 provinces and cities and nearly 400 businesses, showcasing approximately 3,000 products, aiming to promote the consumption of Vietnamese goods and expand distribution channels during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the program aims to stimulate the domestic market, increase the total retail sales of Ho Chi Minh City, and create a connection between the government, suppliers, distribution systems, and consumers. The event also incorporates various programs such as market stabilization, Shopping Season, responsible green ticking, and the development of specialty product brands.

Mr. Pham Quang Hoi, Director of the Center for Consulting and Support for Agricultural Economic Transformation, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, assessed this as the largest program ever, recording a record number of participating provinces, cities, and product types.
"Holding the event at the new location is expected to contribute to stimulating local tourism and trade, and expand opportunities to bring regional specialties into modern distribution systems," he added.
In addition, the organizers arranged 50 clusters of booths representing different regions. There were also 10 livestream booths for online sales networking and 20 networking clusters for businesses and distribution systems.
The opening ceremony took place on the morning of December 19th, with an expected attendance of approximately 500 delegates, including leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, provinces and cities, and representatives from numerous associations and businesses. The event also included a conference to review cooperation in product quality control, discussions on expanding the Green Tick Responsibility program, and sessions connecting Vietnamese supply chains.
