This transformation requires not only the governance and innovation capabilities of the entire political system in the province, but also a disciplined, skilled, and adaptable workforce.
In this context, trade union organizations at all levels in the province play a crucial role, serving as both a pillar protecting the rights of workers and a driving force encouraging and promoting pioneering, disciplined, and creative roles in labor and production. This contributes to building the image of Thai Nguyen workers as politically steadfast, united, modern, responsible, and professional... This is an important factor for the locality to attract investment and achieve sustainable development.
Over the years, Thai Nguyen province has continued to affirm its position as a high-tech industrial center in the northern midland and mountainous region. Along with the strong development of the business sector, the workforce has rapidly increased in both quantity and quality, making a significant contribution to the province's GRDP growth, budget revenue, and economic restructuring.
Recognizing this requirement, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee has always paid close attention to leading and directing the work of building increasingly strong trade union organizations, truly serving as a bridge between the Party and the working class, a reliable support for workers, and an important component in the local political system.

Implementing the policy of building a two-tiered government, the elimination of district-level and local industry-level trade unions poses a significant challenge to organizational models and operational methods. In this context, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union has proactively innovated, adapted flexibly, and strengthened the capacity of grassroots trade unions – the force directly involved with and representing workers.
The Trade Union of Thai Nguyen province has clearly demonstrated its role in maintaining stable labor relations, promptly understanding the aspirations and concerns of workers, preventing potential disputes early on, and contributing to maintaining a stable and friendly investment environment. Many models bearing the distinctive mark of the trade union, such as: Tet Reunion, Trade Union Shelter, Trade Union Meal, Trade Union Tet Market, Collective Wedding Ceremony... not only have profound humanitarian significance but also build trust and strengthen the bond between workers and the trade union organization.
Patriotic emulation movements have been widely implemented, linked to the political tasks of each unit and enterprise. A prime example is the "Excellent Worker - Creative Worker, Promoting Initiatives and Technical Improvements" movement, which has unleashed the intellect and dedication of workers. During the past term, the province has seen over 17,800 recognized initiatives and experiences, and over 40 Creative Labor Awards, generating hundreds of billions of dong in benefits. This demonstrates the creative and innovative spirit of Thai Nguyen's workers.
The work of developing union membership and building grassroots organizations has seen many positive changes. The entire province has admitted over 33,000 new union members, established 136 grassroots trade unions, and expanded the influence of the trade union organization in the business sector. In particular, the recommendation of over 6,000 outstanding union members to the Party and the admission of over 4,200 new Party members in non-state enterprises have affirmed the special role of the trade union in Party building.

However, alongside the outstanding achievements, the Provincial Trade Union is still facing many challenges: the capacity of some grassroots trade union officials has not kept pace with the requirements; propaganda and mobilization work is sometimes superficial; digital transformation in trade union activities is slow; and some union members lack commitment or are indifferent to the trade union organization.
The context of Vietnam implementing international commitments and new-generation trade agreements also poses the risk of the emergence of independent labor organizations, requiring the Vietnam Trade Union in general, and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union in particular, to affirm its capacity for genuine representation through the quality of collective bargaining, its ability to care for its workers, and its social prestige.
In the coming period, as Thai Nguyen enters a new phase of development and aims to become a high-tech industrial and growth center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region by 2030, the Trade Union organization must undergo even stronger reforms in its content and methods of operation.

The Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee requested that all levels of trade unions continue to closely follow the leadership and guidance of the Party, promote initiative, creativity, and a willingness to think and act boldly, considering the care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of workers as a central task, while strengthening the education and training of workers' character, discipline, and innovative spirit in the digital age.
The key task for the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union in the coming period is to build a team of trade union officials with strong political acumen, solid professional expertise, negotiation skills, modern management thinking, close ties to the grassroots, and a strong connection with workers. Alongside this, the union will promote digital transformation in all its activities, strengthen social supervision and criticism, promote its role as a unifying force within enterprises, and contribute to maintaining political and social stability and promoting the province's economic development…
With the achievements already made and the determination to innovate in the new phase, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee believe that the trade unions at all levels in the province will continue to uphold their traditions, affirm the core role of the working class, and make worthy contributions to the goal of building Thai Nguyen into a rapidly and sustainably developing province, becoming a center of the northern midland and mountainous region, and a gateway to Hanoi.
