Bui Quoc Tuan (a 5th-year student, class YK21D, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy), one of the scholarship recipients, shared: "Typhoon No. 13 swept through An Nhon town ( Gia Lai province), leaving behind a pile of rubble. My family's single-story house, located right in the eye of the storm, was destroyed. As soon as the storm subsided, floods came, isolating my entire family in a sea of water for many days."

Difficulties piled upon difficulties when Tuan's father was involved in a traffic accident and has been unable to work for many years. All the burdens of providing for the family and tuition fees fell on his mother's shoulders, who sold porridge from a small stall at the local market. "Our house is damaged, and my mother has to set up a temporary shelter to cook, leaving me at a loss as to how to manage. There are still many difficulties, as I still have over a year left before graduation. The scholarship I received is a great gift that gives me the confidence to continue my studies," Tuan said emotionally.
