On December 13th, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders, led by Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited, offered gifts to people, and provided financial support to schools in Khanh Hoa province to help them overcome the damage caused by storms and floods in 2025.
Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and leaders of agencies, units and businesses that are supporting Khanh Hoa province.

The delegation was received by the following comrades: Nghiêm Xuân Thành, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Party Committee; Hồ Xuân Trường, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Party Committee; Lâm Đông, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khánh Hòa Provincial People's Council; Trần Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khánh Hòa Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyễn Khắc Hà, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khánh Hòa Province.
At the headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation handed over more than 26.8 billion VND to support localities in the province in overcoming damage caused by storms and floods; and provided more than 26.5 billion VND to repair 31 schools.

In addition, the Becamex Group provided 350 million VND and 4,104 household water filters (worth 2 billion VND) to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Farmers' Association. On this occasion, the Becamex Group also donated 2 billion VND to help Khanh Hoa province overcome the damage caused by the storms and floods.

On the same day, the delegation also presented 750 million VND in support to Dien Lac Primary School (Dien Lac commune, Khanh Hoa province), along with medicine and medical equipment for the school.
The delegation presented gifts to 40 teachers of the school and awarded gifts and scholarships to 50 students, including cash, notebooks, and school supplies. The delegation also donated gifts, cash, and household water filtration equipment to 10 farming households in Khanh Hoa province.
On the same day, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc and the delegation visited and presented gifts to support people in Dien Dien commune (Khanh Hoa province). The program, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa province, and the Vietnam Buddhist Association, provided 1000 gift packages to people affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized the sentiment and responsibility of the Party Committee, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and the people of the city in joining forces to support Khanh Hoa province in overcoming the damage caused by floods and heavy rains.
The comrade highly appreciated the close coordination between Khanh Hoa province and Ho Chi Minh City in implementing comprehensive and synchronized solutions to support people in overcoming the consequences and quickly stabilizing their lives.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc stated that currently, 28 departments and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City are closely and synchronously coordinating with 28 departments and agencies of Khanh Hoa province to jointly overcome the damage caused by floods and heavy rains. He expressed his hope that Khanh Hoa province will soon overcome the difficulties and quickly restore the lives and production of its people.

In response to the affection and assistance from Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City for their timely attention and support to the province.
These support resources not only meet the urgent needs of people to stabilize their lives, but also ensure long-term sustainability, creating livelihoods for people to rebuild after the floods. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Khanh Hoa province pledged to promptly allocate support resources, ensuring they are accurate, sufficient, and reach the people directly.
Recently, people in the northern, north-central, and central regions of Vietnam have suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods. Many families have lost loved ones, homes, and property. Transportation infrastructure and schools have collapsed, been damaged, or flooded...

Upholding the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," agencies, units, businesses, and people in Ho Chi Minh City, along with the Ho Chi Minh City Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, have joined hands to support, receive, and quickly organize visits and provide timely assistance to provinces and cities affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.
From the beginning of August to December 9th, the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Campaign Committee received 46,579 donations totaling over 392.4 billion VND and promptly disbursed over 250 billion VND in aid.

Ho Chi Minh City promptly received and distributed 29,000 family medicine kits, 4,826 tons of goods, food, various types of drinking water, necessities, essential items for people's daily lives, and clothing.
Ho Chi Minh City proactively mobilized the entire political system, urgently activated forces, organized reception points throughout the city, and strongly encouraged the people to support Khanh Hoa province.
Departments, agencies, and units have implemented relief efforts according to the principle of being as quick, timely, and under the most challenging conditions as possible.
Through this initiative, emergency assistance totaling 50 billion VND and over 2,938 tons of goods, including 100 tons of rice and various essential necessities, was provided to help people overcome their most difficult times.

With that spirit in mind, in addition to the support from Ho Chi Minh City's relief efforts, many agencies and organizations have joined forces to support Khanh Hoa province with numerous practical activities.
In particular, the Social Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Ho Chi Minh City, with its four mobile kitchens, provided more than 24,000 meals per day, delivered to each deeply flooded area, ensuring that people did not go hungry or cold during these difficult days. The kitchens also provided support to frontline forces directly involved in the mission.
The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force mobilized more than 1,000 young volunteers to support people in the heart of the flood zone and participated in coordination at reception points, personally delivering each bag of medicine and each gift package.
The Department of Health has taken the lead in coordinating the rotation of 50 doctors, nurses, epidemiologists, and psychologists to provide medical examinations, treatment, initial first aid, and focus on timely health counseling and psychological support for the people, as well as providing 10,000 family medicine kits.
The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union has established 18 receiving points, mobilizing more than 8,000 volunteers to assist in arranging and distributing goods, coordinating transportation, and supporting logistical work.
Agencies, units, businesses, and news agencies in Ho Chi Minh City have joined hands to provide emergency support with supplies, goods, and necessities to people in other provinces and cities, and directly supported 31 schools in the form of "one agency, unit, or business of the city partnering with one school in Khanh Hoa province" to repair, purchase equipment, tools, and supplies with a total amount of over 26.5 billion VND.
